Celebrating

My parents were fond of musing, "Last week at this time we were ...."
I guess that caught on, because I've been thinking about the baby shower we recently attended for my gr'girl, Chloe

..... and Robert ('bonus' grandson)
I love this young man so much.
As we were arriving, he ran over exclaiming, "Hi Grandma!  Hi Grandpa!"

Troy and Lois worked really hard, baking and setting everything in motion.

Clever!

I can't wait to meet Baby Girl!

These little women were having a serious discussion!

Tom was a little apprehensive about coming to a "hen party", but I think there were more men there than ladies.

 Robert with his doppelganger niece.

I don't think I've ever known a father-to-be so excited.
My great-granddaughter's not even born, but I'm pretty sure she's going to be a 'Daddy's Girl.'

Happy days of our lives

I overheard Troy telling Robert about this song.
I'm not a big fan of KC, but this 'gets' me. Every.Stinkin.Time.

Have you listened?

Appropriate!

I hope y'all have a great (and safe) day!

Hugs, Myra

Yes, life goes quickly in the blink of an eye and it is all a set of fingerprints on the handrails of history.

  4. I know nothing about babies or baby showers - - but I like the idea of decorating the blocks.....and those cupcakes made me smile.
My parents were fond of musing, too.
    "Back in '49....."
    and I'd say "1849?"

  13. I am 2 weeks 4 days from the BIG 80... I can attest to this song being 100 percent True! They look so happy and it seems only yesterday I was happy at a shower for a new son and now he will be 60 in Feb.
those little girls are so cute, like little mini women. The shower looks like so much fun and I like the blocks, what a great idea. One of the most fun showers I ever attended was one for someone in our church and the men and women were invited.. the men even joined in the silly games. Even Bob had fun... and that is saying a lot.. congratulations on the sweet girl great grand child that is on the way
