Thanks to Crazy Sam for another set of fun questions.  (Providing it's not on the witness stand, don't we all like being asked for our thoughts?)

I don't remember this song, but "The Presidents" look like a rocking trio.  You can hear them here.  

In this week's song, The Presidents sing about a long married, very happy couple.  Who is the longest married couple you know.  Who is the happiest?   Are they the same couple?

Mr. Don and Miss Gloria will be celebrating their 67-year anniversary next month.  From all accounts they're still madly in love ... he treats her like a queen.

The lyrics ask repeatedly:  "Aren't we happy?"  Are you feeling happy today?  Why or why not?

I've done better ... but then, I've been worse.
Let's just color me grateful.  Content.

This happy couple enjoys watching children at play.  Is there a park, playground or schoolyard near you?

There's a private school catty-corner from our home, but I don't often hear children playing.  Rather, students only attend Chapman Christian Academy 4.5 hours a day, 4 days a week. 

This song reminds Crazy Sam of when she used to recite the multiplication tables.  Thank back to your school days.  Was math one of your favorite subjects?

Arithmetic, yes.  Not so much once I met Algebra.

The Presidents seemed like a good name for a band formed in Washington D.C.  What would be an appropriate name for a band from your hometown?

I'm going with our current town and call them The Coosa Crooners.

DC trivia:  The street names are letters, but J was skipped.  That's because in the 1700's, the way many wrote their alphabet, "J" looks like "I" and so "J" was passed over to avoid confusion.   Tell us something we might not know about your hometown (or state).

Growing up, I always believed people calling our hometown 'The Hill' referred to its elevation.
But no.

During the war years, no one was permitted to call Los Alamos by its name.  Officially, it was a community that didn't exist.  It was simply known as "Site Y" or "The Hill."

In 1970, when this song was on the Billboard chart, The Mary Tyler Moore show premiered on CBS.  The theme song said Mary could "turn the world on with her smile," yet in real life MTM was self-conscious about her "wide mouth."  Are you comfortable looking at photos of yourself?

I no longer cringe, but no, I'm rarely comfortable.

Also in 1970, Dinah Shore became one of the first women to host her own national daytime talk show.  Today, Kelly Clarkson, Drew Barrymore, Tamron Hall, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Ripa all have their own shows, and The Talk and The View are both hosted by women.  Who is your favorite talk show host?

Unlike many others (including a certain colleague) they seem genuinely nice.  No mean-spirited 'stuff' disguised as humor.
I wish Hoda was my BF!

Random question:  Would you rather have a job that has you on your feet all day, or one that has you parked in a chair?

Point me in the direction of a chair, please.  With plenty of padding!
