So, in my continuing quest to discover new and FUN things to decorate my life ....
After Tom's eye appointment yesterday, I realized we weren't that far from a place called Cheesecake EmporiYUM.
I followed Google Girl's directions to a non-descript area off the industrial district ... and into a little shop about the size of a walk-in closet. Behind the curtain divider a young woman steps out ... big sunny smile. "Good morning!" I'd read Monique's story (you can click here) and knew I had to support her little one-woman enterprise.
"YUM" is right! Despite having had lunch not an hour before, we each got an egg-roll and slice of cake to bring home.
Tom chose the soul-food egg roll and German Chocolate cheesecake. Mine was chicken-fried rice (eggroll) and red velvet.
I was sure surprised when 'Mr. Picky Eater' declared he wants to go back for more eggrolls!

So happy when we got home to see UPS had been a-calling!
For a long time I've been promising myself to get new bed pillows, then in the end deciding it wasn't worth spending the money.
Last week I finally I broke down and ordered these with some of my birthday money.
No lie, last night was the first time in years I didn't keep waking up to switch pillows or flip it to the cool side. (And nope, even tho' I like what he stands for, Mike Lindell didn't ask me to say this.)
Look what was laying at the bottom of the box!

Deleteis it firm? is it solid or small pieces. I have tried pillows and they always hurt my neck. i need a new one, bought one at walmart and it is doing ok, I wish i could touch it. I like the not solid and packed down feel. a little give in any direction, to cup my bent neck.

I like it when you mention restaurants and eating places you visit. We don't have the same brand names here like the cheesecake place you mention.

DeleteARe those the NEW My Pillows with the new fabric that is cooler...I may end up trying that because that is my only complaint about "My Pillow", that it is hot. So I hope the new ones really do work to keep it cooler. I flip my pillow several times a night right now! The cheesecake place sounds YUMMY!! Thanks for making me want some now. DeleteI think we can always find reasons to smile. I love egg rolls too, but usually have the kind that I make in the oven here at home. I usually do them in the air fryer. There is always a new flavor of cheese cake to try out it seems. I've never met one I didn't like. Yours sound wonderful. Hope you work out everything at the VA today! Good luck! Love, ma

ReplyDeleteWhich pillows did you get? My husband insisted he needs firm and they are wao too hard. SO we are back to our cool gel pillows Jeremy gets for us at Nordstorms Rack with his nice discount.
