Do you have a junk drawer?
Two of them. I tried designating them 'His and Hers' but they've since de-segregated.
Is it full? Nearly!

The usual -- extra keys, loose change, rubber bands/clips, business cards, batteries. I should put them in a time capsule and bury it out back!
When does time pass quickly for you? When does it pass slowly?
Already, this year is speeding by!
I do grow impatient waiting for a vacation, but that's been a while.
These eight vegetables are in season during spring-asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, collard greens, garlic, herbs. What's your favorite? Any on the list you refuse to eat? Last one on the list you ate?
LOVE both asparagus and broccoli -- as a matter of fact, I had to choose between the two at Long Horn on Monday. (Broccoli won out, only b/c I didn't want to pay an extra $2.50.)
I won't refuse to eat any of these, but I'm not wild about celery.
What's the oldest thing you own? Tell us about it.
I've several items belonging to my grandparents -- but I'm going with an old jewelry box belonging to a young lady who grew up to become my material (whoops!) maternal grandmother.

DeleteInteresting answers, Mevely. Over here we have a word game on TV called Countdown where contestants have to make words out of jumbled letters.

We have a drawer full of junk stuff and so many keys we no longer know what they're meant to open. I don't want to throw the keys away in case I lock myself in the house.

Yes, the online (NYTimes.com) Spelling Bee sounds just like Countdown. Somedays I'd love to lock myself in my house, lol.

DeleteScrabble is about the only game I can play or like to play but sadly no one else does. it was the only game my brother could not beet me. He was so good at all the others I quit playing with him. same here on random thought. fits most of us I think. i have a kitchen junk drawer, full, a drawer in dining area, FULL and there are 2 of them. bob has 2 junk drawers in his dresser and 87 million in the garage, no idea what is in there.

Deleteforgot oldest thing, I have pots/pans from mother that are as old as I am and my grandmothers depression bowl and 8 dessert dishes. a letter to me from my mothers dad when I was 3 months old, makes the letter 78 plus years old. in fact everything in our house is OLD including the two of us and the DOG

DeleteDanny isn't one for word games, but I love them, Myra, especially Scrabble. Come to think of it, I could have played it with Virginia while she was here, but we settled for backgammon.

DeleteIt was such an elegant writing style, how did we lose it? The oldest thing I have? Maybe my Dad’s birth certificate. I also have a dress of his Mom’s and doilies from my Mom’s mom. DeleteI have played scrabble and always enjoyed it. I love doing crossword puzzles too, especially if they have the answers listed ! I love most all kinds of vegetables but have never had okra. My favorite would have to be green beans and corn on the cob in the summertime. The oldest thing I own is an old mantle clock that sits on my buffet in the living room. My parents gave it to us as an anniversary gift many years ago and I'll be treasuring it for years to come. DeleteI love to play scrabble, but hubby isn't a fan as spelling isn't his forte', and he keeps making up words...LOL. I enjoy the daily Wordle, but don't have time for Quordle too. My brain needs a break. LOL. I love all those vegies. I need to eat more of them more often. Oh, those postcards are wonderful! I would LOVE to read them. I love the old handwriting script. They were so elegant. What a treasure! Have a blessed and wonderful weekend coming up!

DeleteAlways fun time at your house. Love the post. but you asked abour old things. I actually have a ball of waxed string from 1959. still very good and strong. Also I still have my first air hose for a compressor older than that. I just showed that to my grandson who works with air tools.
