What would you say is the most difficult task when it comes to spring cleaning?
Getting motivated to actually do it.
Have you completed that task this year?
I'm sure our home could use more attention to detail .... but I'm going with the new tile flooring. I'm so happy the old nasty carpet is gone, baby. Gone!
Any plans to get it the rest done?
Only if the mood strikes, or Tom's sister announces they're coming to visit.
Your favorite pastel color? Favorite thing you own in a pastel shade?
Pastels aren't my first choice - either in my home's decor or clothing -- but I do love buttercream (yellow).

Nary a pastel in this house. odd your family was only a few miles away from us in that photo. we were married in Bradenton court house, only about 5 miles from the race track, Feb of 85

DeleteI have no plans to Spring Clean this year, I'm just lucky to get the everyday stuff done. It's now in my past. We usually have ham for Easter Dinner along with lots of delicious sides. I love having it for leftovers and make eggs and ham, scalloped potatoes and ham sandwiches. There is so much we can do with it. I love it and it's a favorite of mine. I'm going to have a dinner with a son too. We had the family together last Saturday, but Sunday will be with my son that lives close by. He is fixing ham too. And I love having Easter eggs to make Egg Salad sandwiches too. Have a very Happy Easter !

DeleteHad to laugh at the pros and cons of being an adult because it's so accurate! LOL I also have trouble getting motivated to actually DO my spring cleaning tasks - expecting company is a big motivator. I remember that the ladies used to have Easter corsages too. A more elegant time, somehow. Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it a blessing to know we don't have to try to solve all the world's ills ourselves and and can trust an omnipotent God who is control? Our mothers always had a corsage for Mother's Day instead of Easter, but I do remember that being a thing back in the '50's. Happy Easter to you and your family.

DeleteSpring cleaning? I do it as I need to., or when the mood hits me, whichever comes first. LOL. I LOVE your new floors!! Isn't it wonderful to be rid of light colored carpet that shows everything! That's how I feel too. Although I miss the softness and warmth of it under my feet on cold days, but that's what slippers/socks are for. Oh, I love the pic of your family at Easter with the corsages, etc. Yes, I remember that...and Mother's Day too, when we had to wear a red flower if our mother was living, and a white flower for those whose mothers weren't living. Oh, I am SO happy you get to spend Easter with your son and all in the new house!! How wonderful!!! Maybe you can even sneak a few pictures? Your nosey friends love to see people's new houses! LOL. Have a blessed time and a joyous Easter!!

DeleteCleaning seems to be lifelong . I do what I can . Messy is my style currently. No room for too many things, need to declutter. Sigh. Love your Easter photos. I remember having corsages on Easter and Mother's Day. I miss those days. Enjoy your Easter weekend. We have brunch with Jeremy & Brittany and the kids and our kids that are here. Then a ham in the evening for the 5 of us. I bet the new house is wonderful. Enjoy and keep safe while traveling. Weather worries everywhere. HUGS to you today and always
