The Hodgepodge lands this year on National Secret-Keeping Day. On a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being "I'm a blabbermouth" and 10 being "I'm a vault") how good are you at keeping secrets?

Joyce read about 9 jobs for people who can keep a secret: Cyber-security worker, executive assistant, housekeeper, lawyer, nuclear plant technician, physician, private investigator, psychologist, security guard. Of those, which one most interests you and why?
No doubt, I've watched too many episodes of Murder, She Wrote and romanticized the life of Kinsey Millhone -- so ya. Color me 'gumshoe.'
What's the secret of life (or one of them, anyway)?
I'm going with what my favorite actor said this morning on the Today Show:

A couple things, actually --
How do y'all like the 'new' Blogger? Or, have you gone back to the legacy? It's not a big deal, but I'm annoyed by the 'redirect notices' whenever I go to click on a post. Also -- like Facebook -- someone's post may appear in the middle or lower third of my page one minute … the next, it's up there at the top. What gives?
(Oh, silly question. It's 2020!)
Requesting your prayers for my DIL and her siblings. Their 80 y/o father passed away in Lois and Troy's home Monday afternoon. He'd been in a declining state for several months, but as anyone who's experience the loss of a parent knows, it hurts.
Can't leave without (hopefully) making you smile!

When I grow up I want to be a cyber Detective I love research on the internet and looking to find secrets that people are trying to keep that are hidden on the internet. If you ask me to keep a secret I'm a vault but other than that I'm a blabbermouth. If you don't want it told then you better tell me.

DeleteForgot to say I am a lover of Tom Hanks also! That is true about the purse but since I haven't carried one since 2006 when I retired it doesn't fit me anymore. But I do have a husband who will stand with the refrigerator door open and say where's the Mayo? Or anything else and it's sitting right where he put it because it's not where it belongs

DeleteI like to think I am a vault, but.... I would prefer the security guard, the roving guy not the door security. Blogger change bugged e at first and I also don't care for the redirect notice, the reason sorta escapes me.

Why is it women carry so many things in their hand bags? I mean ... who needs a ... or a ... even? Why carry them in the bag every day? Now that's a secret!

DeleteSo sorry for the death of your DIL's father and know this is and will a difficult time for all the family. Re. Blogger, I personally saw no reason to change it. I do not like it as well and find inserting and editing pictures particularly unlikable. I am thinking about going back if I could find the option.

DeleteI think I'm good and keeping secrets hen asked to do so. I''ve never liked to gossip anyway. I really don't have any secret ingredients, but like my mom keep some bacon greese in the refrigerator, you never know when it might come in handy. As far as birthday advice, I figure you are only as old as you feel. Prayer for you Dil's family. May the good Lord comfort them in their time of loss. None of us wants to ever lose a loved one.

And don't get me started if you send a man to the store to get sanitary products with explicit instructions on which one to get and they come home with the wrong one LOL. I haven't noticed too many changes with the new Blogger yet. Not happy with the Facebook changes but what can a person do?

DeleteThe new Blogger is okay, but I'm not thrilled with it. When writing a post, I have to keep looking for the correct tool to do what I want. But I guess in time, I'll remember what does what. Otherwise, it's okay.

DeleteI am behind on all the posts and blog hops. My life story. Fighting with my washer all day. It hates towels and does not always spin them out. So I go up and down those stairs to check on it. Argh..... It is so hot here. I am not an extreme hot weather person but when Jake and Hannah come out in a few weeks Jake promised to help me dig the pool out of the garage. Then I might be happier. HaHaHa. I hate all the changes on the blogger business. Our dairy, we have been with for ten years too. Updated their website. Calling for two weeks and cannot get through or get anyone to call us back. I guess I will write them a letter and tell them so long. It is a blessing in the winter but there is another dairy with just as good pricing. CS went from Awesome to Zero in the past two weeks. Prayers for your DIL and phamily. It is so hard to lose a loved one. HUGS to all and Prayers too!
ReplyDeleteI've never hated an appliance like I do my almost new "made in the USA" washer and dryer. I don't think for a moment that manufacturers build them to last anymore. Hope you get your pool set up soon!
