Good morning, friends ...
and thank you, Joyce!
My thinking cap's on ... how about yours?
💜
What do you love most about March?
I've a significant birthday in another 12 days.
What's not to love!
Hey! Did you know March is National Celery Month? Do you like celery? What's something you make (or like to order out) that calls for celery?
I'm not a fan, but don't object when Tom puts it in chicken salad.
___________ is the soundtrack to my life right now.
I consulted AI and learned: ".... is a collection of songs that are meaningful to you and can evoke memories and feelings. Consider songs that bring back memories of first loves, first heartaches, weddings, losses and first moves into adulthood."

The Hodgepodge lands on Ash Wednesday this year. Do you participate in Lent in some way?
Insert your own random thought here.

My soundtrack wasn't music, more the sounds I'm hearing around me. I should do a music playlist as that could be fun. I think lent is a contemplative season and very personal. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, Joyce, thank you. I need to look beyond the white noise.
DeleteLove your random thought. Can you pass me a broom please and thanks for the hug :)
ReplyDeleteHere you go! 🤗
DeleteUp until a couple of years ago I could only eat celery if it was covered in ranch dip. However, something's changed and now I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting ... maybe I should try again.
Delete🤣 true about celery - never thought of it in that way. I still like it. I drew a blank with the soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote!
Thank you, Debby!
DeleteI love the song, "Praise You in the Storm." Happy Early Birthday, too, Myra! Mine was on the 1st. Wishing you a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteAnother Pisces baby! Happy belated birthday, Martha!
DeleteI love celery in chicken salad too, but my favorite is with some peanut butter spread on it. I do observe lent and would usually go to church for ashes, but I don't have a way to get there today. I think it's a good way to prepare our hearts and minds for Easter. No playlist here, I wouldn't know where to start except for today It's a beautiful Morning ! It's been windy here with a chance of fire warning. Thankfully no tornadoes though I don't know which is worse. Hang tight and keep the faith! Love, ma
ReplyDeleteLiving in the South's no place for sissies! We've both been blessed, haven't we?
DeleteEvery St. Patrick's Day I think of you....and green carnations.
ReplyDeleteI can tolerate celery, but I don't think I'd ever crave a celery sandwich.
The soundtrack of my life right now has gone off course....crashed and burned.
You remembered!!! Thank you for being a wonderful friend, Jon.
DeleteI loved Casting Crowns - - what a touching video.
DeleteHappy Birthday to you! Yes, celery does work in a chicken salad. That's a beautiful song. That's a good quote. I love your random thought.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debby!
Deletehad to type, still catching my breathe from laughing at when you want to bite into water with hair
ReplyDeleteI pick celery out of anything it is in. the only way I used to eat it was cream cheese or PB in it and I only did that for fiber.
I think they wanted a song that is what you life is doing now. Like Thunder Road might be mine, ha ha
I wondered if you had any storms it looked like it was going right over you.. and my son in TN and my brother in Augusta. one last thing.
Instead of a broom, I am going to need a gas powered hum dinger giant sized BLOWER..
We prepared for the worst, but feel so fortunate it was just straight line winds and lots of rain. Whew!
DeleteI have to admit that I like celery especially with Peanut Butter or cream cheese on it. I also use it in soups and stews. The thought of it being hairy makes me gag though..haha..
ReplyDeleteMy song on my playlist is One Day at a Time Sweet Jesus...
Happy Birthday month!! make it last all month...
We do go to church and I always enjoy the Easter music. Resurrection Joy !
I'm like you and feel the this time of year is full of introspection and it is private for me too.
Sue
I've not thought about that song in years, but now it's playing in my head. Good one!
DeleteYou did good on this. I am drawing a blank on the soundtrack thing. I'd have to think about it. I do love celery in soups, chicken salad, with peanut butter and/or cream cheese, but it can't be tough and stringy. Needs to be fresh and crisp! Happy Birthday coming up. I bet I know what milestone birthday it is too, because we are the same age, except mine isn't until September. Who'da thunk we'd ever be "this old"? LOL. Hard to believe, when I still think like I'm that silly kid running around in my bare feet and stubbing my toes on the asphalt road. (yes, it was hot too. I grew up in Florida!) Drinking water from the garden hose, and licking the batter from the beaters. Although I no longer do drink from the water hose...that water gets very HOT here and you could literally blister yourself with it, plus I know better know about some things. LOL. I enjoyed your post. We have an Ash Wednesday service tonight, and we aren't sure yet about going. We probably will, but we didn't grow up attending Ash Wednesdays in the churches we grew up in, so it's not a typical service for us to participate in. But I do practice my own kind of Lent also...it's more about listening closer to God's voice and paying more attention to what He's saying to me. Something I need to do all the time...
ReplyDeleteI do love the Easter season, when Christ and His resurrection is the focus. Amen.
Great post.
Who'd have thought, indeed! I'm so glad we grew up in the kind of world we did.
DeleteI do like Casting Crowns...a very good one!! I hope your storms were not too bad. We had very high winds late yesterday afternoon. lots of dust as well. Celery is one of those things I can eat or not eat..not my fav though. Our church does not celebrate Ash Wednesday nor do they celebrate Maundy Thursday. Sam and I do this in a private manner...Looking forward to Easter.... Happy Wednesday!!
ReplyDeleteNot as bad as we feared, thanks! Nevertheless, I'm no longer going to pooh-pooh the threat of high winds.
DeleteWow ... what a powerful song. Never heard it before. Thank you so much for this Mevely; I needed that message today.
ReplyDeleteYes, God is always there at our every storm; no matter how frequent or how violent.
Thank you again and God bless you.
Thank you, Victor. They played that at the baby's funeral I recently attended.
DeleteCasting Crowns is one of my favorite bands. Have you heard (their) "Scars in Heaven" or "Who Am I"?
I've never heard of this Group; I'll look them up shortly. Powerful lyrics in the song you featured.
DeleteGod bless always, Mevely.
I couldn't think of sounds and I also looked it up but in the end I took a page from Joyce's book and listed things I hear around me. Lovely song you shared and I have good memories of Volare as well.. happy times. Have a lovely rest of the day~
ReplyDeleteHappy times, yes. Oh those wild and crazy years!
DeleteI like celery, and Volare brings back happy memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy memories are the best!
DeleteCasting Crowns are so good. Another fun Hodgepodge from Joyce. I do like some peanut butter with celery but it is not a veggie I have ever craved! Love & hugs, dear friend!!
ReplyDeleteLove n' hugs, Terri!
DeleteI'm Pisces too - I don't really believe in it - but I have lots of friends that are born around me - weird. It yours St. Pat's Day?
ReplyDeleteI love your taste in music.
I have to say I do like celery - in egg or chicken salad or with p/b.
My sound track now would be if you can believe - Beethoven.
I'm not sure I know that one, but I'm going to Google it tonight!
DeleteI love the tag line at the end of your post. Now I need to not only sweep any negativity, but I also need to sweep the kitchen floor.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you I am currently listening to Volare (both Dean Martin and The Gypsy Kings)
Turn it up! 👋
DeleteThanks Myra, I sure needed this smile today. Have a beautiful Friday my friend.
ReplyDelete🤗
DeleteI love that song, Praising You in the Storm. I am not a fan of celery at all. I can tolerate it if it's smothered in peanut butter. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Tracy will, too!
DeleteSorry I'm late. Where did the week go??!!
ReplyDeleteAnother March birthday! There's a lot of folks born in this month. Hope your day will be wonderful.
I can't eat raw veg's anymore. Gives me I.B.S. (I know, TMI!! ha ha) That's alright. I'll stick with being a carnivore. I don't have to eat as much as someone eating veg's and I feel better having meat, chicken, seafood, etc.
Beautiful song.
Blessings to you all my friend. 🌸
Carnivore life is a wonderful life! Thanks for being my inspiration!
DeleteI enjoyed your answers! I've been trying to visit some of my blog friends this afternoon and catch up a little!! I always enjoy your posts. Our daughter has bought a fixer upper back in Wetumpka and we were down your way yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI Enjoyed your answers. I misunderstood the soundtrack question too..loll
