I've no rhyme or reason for choosing this image. Even what prompted me to take a picture of the bottom of Tom's old jon boat two years ago. Sometimes these sorts of things just cry out to be noticed, know what I mean?

After last week's eye appointment, I realized we weren't far from an estate sale that looked interesting. Most everything had been picked clean, but there was 'something' about this whimsical child that made me pause. "You like?", came a voice behind me. "Half-price today."
I'd intended to hang it in my bathroom but after setting it down in the bedroom I realized it's almost exactly the same wood as my furniture. Even the green border.
I think I shall call her Pandora.

DeleteI'm not positive, but I think the singer in the video is Chris Young. (great singer). His family is precious. I really like the painting of the girl..I know where ever you decide to hang it, it will look great. Looks like a great conversation painting as well. I do think that forgiving ourselves is one of the hardest things. Thank you for the reminder that God forgives and we must do so as well. Happy Sunday

ReplyDeleteAh, forgiving ourselves. Just as God forgives us, we are to forgive others and that includes ourselves. In fact it starts with ourselves. Forgiving ourselves is loving ourself. Matthew 22:39.
The concept is simple yet we seem to always muck up the works with our baggage. And God sits on His throne, shaking His head…

DeleteWow, that song just hit me in between the eyes...after this week of the horrible Helene, I know there are many folks out there who would love to have a better tomorrow...they may be thankful to be alive, but their world has been turned upside down. All I can do is pray for God to help them through it, and I know He will, but oh, such a mess in the meantime for so many. I am so thankful that He gave us a "tomorrow", and spared our area, but still...so many hurting.

Kind of like me and my "Lily Grace". some things we just can't explain, but it speaks to our hearts and fills an empty space.
