What's something that scares you?
Cancer -- or the possibility thereof.
Unfortunately, I've wrestled that phobia since 1961.
Do you care where the food you eat comes from? To what degree?
I'm such a hypocrite -- consuming generous amounts of red meat, but cringing to consider the process.
The only thing I refuse is veal. A long ago episode of 60 Minutes totally traumatized me.
What's something you wish you'd spent more time doing when you were younger?
Studying. Math and science, in particular.
I was uninterested, and it showed.

After consulting both FB and Blogger archives, I'm surprised to realize that little has changed.
Too, that things I wrote about seem more like weeks ago v. a whole year.
I can't decide if I'm extraordinarily boring or happy in my little rut.

Growing up in northern NM, the aspens' yellow leaves were spectacular.

I wish I'd have thought to use that term! Because I never got around to watching that movie until maybe 10 years ago, I'd no idea what folks meant when they said that. Oops!

What scares me? The unpredictable journey through life.
Autumn? Anything pumpkin and spice. Haunted houses and scary movies (I think Hallmark made about 10,000 Christmas movies). The World Series. Football is a complete enigma to me.
I searched again this morning, but they're no where to be seen. I think our yappy girls may have had something to do with it.

ReplyDeleteHope you hear back from the doc soon. I had to call mine to get results back from a suspected skin cancer, since you mentioned that disease. Negative for now, but will go back in two months for a check.

I hadn't heard, but yes. That's a great idea. I used to harbor fantasies of getting to do a drive along, but have put that by the way and just watch them on TV.
DeleteThese days I think tending to our own little corner is actually pretty healthy. The world is a mess, but we can do we all we're able for those right around us. I hope you get a good report from the doctor very soon. Waiting is so hard. Take care.

Oh I do hope the Dr.'s office will be considerate enough to return your calls...how rude and bad...what if if was about something really serious??? Maybe it was? Praying they will get with the program. Sorry the kitties came and went so quickly. I hope they are okay...but little wild kitties can often break your heart...I know...been there and done that and hope to never do it again. None of us likes the "c" word..., btw.
ReplyDeleteWe just got home from our fall trip in the mountains. Although it was lovely, the leaves really had not changed much yet...probably next week, of course! But it was still beautiful and we had a great time...but happy to be safely back home. I've missed you all. Bye for now.

ReplyDeleteI like fall and hope to enjoy it. Strange how Halloween has grown but mostly in yard decorations. i might have liked it 30 years ago. LOL Now I wonder how folks can pay the high prices of just groceries and spend $100 for a skeleton.
But I have always been a skinflint.
BUT, as always I enjoyed the visit. I thought of Tom when the /Sax came out in the song I posted of rainy days. LOL

DeleteI love autumn for the cool weather and the leaves. It's not just the colors, it's also seeing them on the ground being rustled by a breeze. That always warms my heart and makes me happy.
