Good morning!
Thank y'all so much for your prayers! 3 days later, still no word from the doc about Tom's test results. I'm going to color that, 'cautiously optimistic.'
Well, little Grace Evelyn came through her vet stay and dental cleaning with flying colors. (Since the clinic's down in Montgomery -- and she couldn't have anything by mouth prior to the surgery -- they suggested bringing her in the afternoon before.) He only had to perform one extraction, but that didn't keep us from fretting.
Can you say, Stress Eating? Yep, that's what I do when I'm Worried, Sad, Anxious, Glad. (Fill in the blank.)
A 'gourmet burger' from Red Robin sounded just right. Not to mention these!
I'm so glad to have married a guy who loves onions as much as I do!

My friend in Colorado sent a 'Happy Hatch chile season!' greeting with this .....
... and said he noted a sign at a local grocer's promoting green chile sushi. (*bleah*)
Despite legislation forbidding companies to advertise product not trademarked 'Hatch', I share G's skepticism that there aren't some false claims about their origin.

I think no news is good news so agree with you. that is the biggest onion thingy I have ever seen. even out does the blooming Outback Onion. I actually saw a station that had been burned down by someone driving off with the nozzle in the car. that was St pete back in 1984 or 85

Hahahaha on the chairs. The onion rings were definitely a heavenly experience -- and I couldn't agree more about sushi.
DeleteI do like Red Robin's burgers, but I never had their onion rings, which is a shame because son worked at Red Robin for a few years when they first moved here to Phoenix. They do look good! Glad Gracie got through her extraction/cleaning well. I'm sure she is glad to be home with you. I do agree about waiting for news from Tom's doctors. They usually get the "bad" news out quicker than if things are "okay". LOL with the sign with the nozzle. You know it is there because someone did drive off with it still attached :)

DeleteRed Robin was our restaurant when our kids were young. Onion rings were piled on our table.

DeleteThose onion rings look AMAZING!! Our kitchen table back in the day had that pattern, only smaller. As for the gasoline station sign, I have seen some videos of people driving away with the hose still attached. They live among us, I guess. Happy weekend, Myra! xo

DeleteGlad your pup did well at the vet. Ours had a tooth extracted this summer too. And yes, I believe I've seen that pattern on a counter top too. We love Red Robin too, but today we went to a little out of the way diner and had a burger from there that was out of this world. And that V must stand for Vidalia, my favorite kind of onion. DeleteThat sign at the gas station is just a sign of the times of people's ignorance or distraction, take your pick. It happens. I pray it never happens to me. But then again, you just never know. Those were onion rings? At first I thought they were donuts! LOL. Obviously I've never been to Red Robin. What a fun way to serve them! So glad all is well with your sweetie pup, and praying that all is well with your hubby sweetie too. And yes, I agree, I've seen that design on countertops in the 60's. LOL. Hooray for the sunshine! We get daily sunshine mixed with daily thunderstorms these days...even when they weren't predicted, like today! LOL. I always enjoy visiting here. Thank you for the smiles. DeleteOh my goodness! Laughing Out Loud- when I worked for that cheap doctor his wife recovered their waiting room office chairs in those some patterns, I kid you not! Oh, I get all worked up when one of the pups has an emergency. Glad all worked out for Miss Grace. It is hard to leave them for medical needs. Love that stack of onion rings. W O W ! Hoping all is well with Tom's results. Prayers are always said for both of you. We need more rain, we have had sprinkles most of the week. Take care

You know it's there because someone did just that...like the "hot coffee is hot" sign at McDonald's or the reminder to not put plastic bags over your kid's head. Y'all have been going through some things while I've been busy unloading my junk on others. I'm glad the pooch came through everything okay and I'm praying Tom's news is all good.
