Watercooler Wednesday

Welcome back to WCW!

For those new to this Play Date, there's no 'right' or 'wrong' answers.  'Just a fun way in which to get to know one another a little better!

Without further ado ...

What was the warmest welcome you've ever received?

 Me, I'm still thinking ...

but my little mother, clad in a coral-and-royal-blue house coat comes to mind. (*smile*)

Hugs, Myra

  2. We've been getting warm welcomes every single day of our 35 years of marriage and we get it every time we leave the house and come back home. We are now greeted every time we come home by dog number 6 and he is the warmest greeter ever

  4. I think my warmest welcome was when I'd been staying with my mother for two weeks while she was recovering from hip surgery, and returned home to Danny's hugs.
    Blessings, Myra!

  5. Big smiles...the warmest welcome...every evening when I come home from work; the dog, the husband and the son. Especially the dog, poor thing, I bet the guys don't show any love to that poor thing, LOLOL.

  6. Sherry after my first ever 4 month cruise in the USMC. She & mama drove 250 miles to welcome me home. The two most important women in my life.

  7. Going over to my mother's/aunt's apartment after we adopted our daughter at 1 year old. My mom/aunt had decorated the door with welcome signs and had balloons inside as well as a cake and gifts. That was the first one that came to mind :)

  8. That was so precious. I can just imagine that loving scene of your mother welcoming you "home". Oh, how I'd love to see that again myself...someday from heaven's gate... Thank you for such a precious memory.

  9. That was one year I'd been in the hospital and came home to a wonderful welcome from all my children. It' was Mother's Day and they'd made little gifts and welcome home cards. One of my best memories.

  10. My mother had terminal cancer and I was helping take care of her. She was doing better for a bit and her lover said it was all right if I flew home for a while. She and I talked on the phone every day, and when he said it was time for me to come back I did. When I walked into her bedroom she beamed and said, "You've come back!" I have tears in my eyes now thinking about it. Of course I came back. One of the best things I've ever done was to help make sure she could die in her beloved home and not go into a nursing home.

  12. I like our generation but I do think those housecoats would be extremely comfortable during the day.
