G'morning friends,
Ah well, I just put a roast in the slow cooker and need to start getting ready for church. Before I do, here's some glimpses of my nod to Autumn.
But mostly, I'm loving this bear.
So far I've resisted, but one never knows!
Okay, I really need to start getting ready. But first! Here's a nifty tip from one of the Seekers (Bible study gals).
When shopping, Sue deliberately parks (or tries to) her car like so, up against the cart corral:
Granted, we like to think we live in a safe little community ... but is anyone, anywhere really? Like my DIL's experience last year. A moment's inattention resulted in the occupant of a panel van on her passenger side trying to get in. And this, in broad daylight in a nice area of the city!

DeleteIt is so good to prepare for Autumn. Over here in the UK it has been very cold of late with a lot of rain 24/7. So much rain the new rain has no place to land. It saves me having to water the plants.

ReplyDeleteOh, for autumn. How I would love to see those leaves. For us, here in Murrieta CA, it is 97 degrees and 0 humidity. I wish for rain.
I think all our nation's praying for rain to help extinguish California's horrific wildfires.

Yum on the roast!! That's the only way I make them is in the crockpot. They always come out great!

Yes, it was good! World Communion Day ... strange with all the social distancing and mask-wearing. For now, we do what we have to do.
DeleteI am so grateful for cooler temperatures as fall encroaches, Myra! And your decorations are so lovely. Wish I could say I do the same, but we are in the declutter faze of our lives. The only ornaments that come out are the Christmas ones. Got to celebrate the most important birth of all time!

I vote 'yes'! Aside from the coffee maker, our slow cooker's my favorite appliance.
DeleteLove your "nod to fall"...very colorful and happy. And I do love that bear...is it still for sale? LOL. I think you should get it if it makes you smile. Good idea about parking next to the shopping carts if you are alone. I rarely go shopping alone these days. Hubby wants to go everywhere with me so that is a plus. But if I ever am alone I do pay better attention to those kinds of details and am more safety conscious. Even in our little town things happen. People get desperate when you least expect it so we need to be diligent...and keep "prayed up!" I hope your pot roast was good! I did one last week in the crock pot and it was so tender it melted in my mouth. I may have to do that again soon. Take care and enjoy fall while it lasts!

DeleteLove all the fall touches! I try to park near the cart corral. I like to return my cart but today I went to Walmart Market for for grocery pick up. Ah.... that was sweet! Shout out to those workers who bring your groceries and those who pack them. I doubt they get much kindness. The one lady who was getting her groceries before me looked like she was having a bad Monday so I was extra sweet to the little gal who brought my purchases. She was extra kind too! I am always extra careful in parking lots. We never know the strange things lurking about. Not paranoid just smart. I am glad your DIL was ok. It is sure scary. HUGS and LOVE xo xo
ReplyDeleteI've never used Wal-Mart's grocery pick-up ... yet. Who knows, if this stupid virus keeps up. Love your 'extra kindness' shown to that retail worker. It doesn't cost a thing to be kind.
DeleteLove your fall stuff. For some reason I'm really into it this year too. I bought 2 pumpkins (small) and 6 gourds to add to my outdoor shelf that was already holding 2 mums! Have a great day.
