Again, y'all underscore my decision to settle in small town Alabama!
I don't know what prompted her distress, but the other day I witnessed a lady in tears, apologizing to the clerk: "I'm sorry, I just can't get it right!"
The next thing I know, the clerk turned around and walked away ... only to appear from a side door with arms outstretched, "Here. May I give you a hug?"
Something else.
After my turn was complete and I turned to leave the gentleman helping me said, "May your day be blessed."
I don't recall ever witnessing that level of customer service in the Big City!
📩Dear Auto Correct,
I think I need a new senior-friendly phone. One without a texting feature.
When son and DIL recently wrote they "loved" something I'd done, my response?
"Right!?"
Then, if that's not bad enough -- instead of an "I love you, too", mine came out, "I love you tomorrow."
Like my friend Sally says, "I'm so glad we don't talk in auto correct!"

Nope never seen a post office that was friendly, never ever seen someone hug anyone in a PO.. The day was blessed just being there.

YAY for the lemon tree. Bob grew a ruby red grapefruit tree and avacado tree, from seeds and also grew pineapples from the stalks
Yes, in Publix produce is where I usually spot them; maybe I need to look elsewhere.

RAIN!! we woke up to the sounds of thunder and hard rain again this morning..We have had so much rain, but I'm not to complain for in August we will be begging for it. So many items have changed in our grocery store...Simple things you can no longer find...it's all this expensive lines of food now days. Hope your day is super fantastic.....LOL...Sun is shining now..

DeleteWhat a nice gesture from that Post Office assistant to give the customer a hug. I confess I cried at the Post Office the other day. I wanted to send an urgent letter and I was surprised at the cost. I told the clerk I wanted to post a letter, not buy the whole Post Office. I got no hug.

Love the hugs and kindness shown to others in your small town. Yes, that is extra special. Wow, you must be getting all the rain they keep saying is headed our way, but it mostly takes a detour somewhere between here and there and goes elsewhere. We are starting to get a little bit more rain than before, but we still need more. I know it's coming, so I'm trying to be patient and be thankful for what we are getting. Okay, I can't even tell you how many times I've embarrassed myself with texting and auto correction. Why can't we just call and talk.? I feel I have been pushed into a territory where I don't want to be. Alas, with so many, if you don't text they don't know you. {{sigh}} I'm tired of it. BooHIss
ReplyDeleteYou forever will make me laugh and have fun. I am a tea drinker but I enjoy my iced coffee in the hot weather. My husband has hooked me. hahaha Love all you share. I have been watching Tom and Jerry on and off all day long. It appears to be a marathon. I have no desire to do anything related to working like laundry, dusting or anything today. Auto correct is no ones friend.hahaha Hope you and Tom are doing well.
