I'm thinking of a young lady at church who struggles with her self-worth. I may not care for S's new purse (for instance), but the joy on her face when I complimented it? Nope, no regrets!

Ok, let's try that again. I don't know if my partial comment went through or not...I clicked the wrong key and it disappeared...so if you have a partial comment from me, chalk it up to fat fingers hitting the wrong keys. LOL. What was I saying anyway? Oh, that story about Ronald Reagan was amazing!! You just never know how your "worst" thing you ever did might actually inspire someone else and could end up saving your life... amazing. I love fresh cherries (bing) but thankfully have never eaten enough to get sick. I don't care for marachino cherries all that much or the sweet sweet gooey cherry pie filling that comes in a can. But I do like a good cherry pie made with real tart cherries the old fashioned way. And I am rarely bored either. Just looking out my window can entertain me for hours! I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd describe my life as boring. There's always something to do. Today, for instance, I took the trash containers out to be collected; and then brought them in when empty.

Five books for $1 seems great. We have similar shops here; but not at these prices. Usually £1 per book is the lowest price I found.
I love cherries, Especially Glacé Cherries. How do they grow them without the stone in the middle?

DeleteOnce a food has made you violently ill you never eat it again lol. My daughter was so sick (on my couch!!) following a bowl of corn chowder that I've never made it again. Just typing the words conjures up the smell. ewwwwwww!!!

But the cherry I remember most was the one that sat atop the Chocolate Nut Sundae as a kid. ;-). About now in my life I would appreciate some boredom ...

ReplyDeleteAnd no, I'm rarely if ever bored. Life continues to be full of twists and turns. We just got back from short vacation in St. Simon's, which was great, but now, I have Covid. What??? I guess I could feel worse than I do, and I'm grateful for that.

DeleteI'm never bored either, there is always so much to do and so many books to read. I used to buy lots of books from our thrift stores, but I accumulated too many and am now glad to read books on my kindle. I would describe myself as: Happy, content and very thankful.

ReplyDeleteFun post! Oh my goodness, you and cherries. Auntie Ang told me when she was a kid a truck turned over and spilled bananas all over the road. She said they grabbed all the bananas they could hold and she was so sick she never ate another banana. Happened to Avery with Peaches. I Love Peach Champagne with a mimosa. He shudders. I keep my champagne well stocked. Hannah hates peach so I bought Strawberry when she was here. I guess I will enjoy that too with Rebekah and Zach- hahaha This post was fun. Oh goodness, Ronald Reagan was such an articulate gentle man. But no one messed with him when he was president. sigh...goo ole days. There is a cherry diner/bakery on the road to Estes Park. Best cherry cheesecake pie ever. I loved that Margarita Tom had in your birthday post. Last time I had one with a side car at Texas Roadhouse Avery had to stay close to me. Oh that good Tequila is fast acting hahaha Wow! Five books for a dollar, I love it! I always wished I could have one of those free standing library cupboards where you can take a book, leave a book or return a book at no costs. :-) I have so many books. I take some to the thrift stores but I have thought about selling them, to Thrift books or something. I love the books that Dolly Parton does the Imagination Library where there are areas where they send kids books until they go to school. She is a generous woman.
