Silly (and Serious) Q-and-A

Where else, but courtesy of Sunday Stealing!   Who wants to play along?

What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?

How about the Phoenix?
I love the idea of its perseverance ... rising from the ashes ...  being reborn into something beautiful.

What inanimate object do you wish you could eliminate from existence?

Fentanyl ... meth ... child porn

What is the weirdest thing you have seen in someone else's home?

I don't know if it's weird,
but their pet snakes totally creeped me out.

What would be the absolute worst name you could give your child?

Ebenezer

What would be the worst thing for the government to make illegal?

Freedom to worship

What are some of the nicknames you have for customers or coworkers?

Not going there!
Thankfully, I've no longer have customers or coworkers.

If peanut butter wasn't called peanut butter, what would it be called?

While on a business trip years ago, one of my husband's Australian colleagues saw me eating JIF and exclaimed, "Look, she's eating peanut paste."

What movie would be greatly improved if it was made into a musical?

Probably some corny old western.  True Grit?

What would be the worst 'buy one get one free' sale of all time?

A colonoscopy

What is the funniest name you have actually heard used in the real world?

Sure, I've seen examples, but never heard anything unfortunate used 'in the real world.'

What sport would be the funniest to add a mandatory amount of alcohol to?

To avoid physical injury, let's go with Chess

What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse?

Owing to her size, my Grace is so fearful.  Think, the mouse that roared.

What set if items could you buy that would make the cashier the most uncomfortable?

Rope, duct tape, bucket, bleach, shovel

What is something that you just recently realized that you are embarrassed you didn't realize earlier?

I no longer embarrass easily ...
but I'm usually the first to laugh at myself.

What are some fun and interesting alternatives to war that countries would settle their differences with?

Forget fun.  How about a contest of wits, intelligence.

💜

Thanks for visiting!
Stay safe ... and be silly!

Hugs, Myra

  1. Congratulations, Myra, on completing this meme with grace, wit, and intelligence!! I read the questions and just deleted them. I'm still not sure what my answers would be, but I could steal yours!! Have a blessed week ahead, dear friend!! xo

  2. I like your answers for today, unfortunately I can't think of any intelligent answers today. I think my brain is in a turkey coma. Ha. Hope you have a relaxing Sunday there ! Love, ma

  3. Great answers, Mevely. I like your wit.

I knew a girl called "Cris Lear". At graduation, as often happens, (don't know why), they call out your full name. Hers was: Crystal Shandy Lear. The poor girl had stupid parents with a bad sense of humour.

I can't understand why people have pet snakes, or spiders, scorpions and such as pets.

    God bless always.

  4. Governments and politicians should settle their differences on TV in a game of rock, paper, scissors.

  7. What a novel idea, using their "wits and intelligence" instead of going to war. If only our politicians possessed some of those items, we might actually get somewhere in this world. Your answers were great. Oh, pet snakes are as awful as pet rats, however, one could take care of the other nicely...LOL.

  11. Peanut paste . . . That's a good one! Snakes in someone's home would freak me out, too, Myra, even if I know they aren't poisonous. And I agree - that list of items would alarm any clerk!
    Blessings!

  16. I'm with you on pet snakes. I'd worry the entire time I was visiting. On a different note, Adolph is my least favorite name for a baby.

    1. Ya, that one's burdensome. My poor dad's mother even spelled it with an "f" (v. 'ph'). He always went by "Ad."
