___________ motivates me to __________.
I put salt on ___________.
When it comes to _________, I don't cut corners.
Never forget __________.

Looking at old photos motivates me to watch what I eat and keep moving. 'Don't expect I'll ever be a size 6 again, but that doesn't mean I should let myself go to pot.
I put salt on NOTHING. Sodium's not my friend! Instead, I probably over-compensate with pepper.
When it comes to Macie and Grace, I don't cut corners. Those two are spoiled rotten!
Never forget to mind your P's and Q's.
(Anyone else remember that old admonition?)

I spotted this yesterday evening on Facebook.
… and not 15 minutes later, Tom and I were carrying our lawn chairs across the park.
… where we ran into Pastor Janet and Andy, and

Yep, Presley. Your funnel cake looks so good ....
….. Tom had to get one for himself!
Newly cut, mask hair ... don't care!

Kids were having great fun, dancing and racing about the lawn.
Sweet Southern Nights!

Fun. I use to do one of these. I don't put salt on anything either. Way to go on getting out and enjoying a summer concert.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debby!
DeleteI over use pepper too...I can't have to much extra sodium. It don't look like many are social distancing, grin.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day friend!
Nope. A bit disconcerting.
DeleteFun! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy a nice concert and socialize a bit. No salt here either and always extra pepper. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteWow. Here I believed I was in the minority!
DeleteHow fun!! Community concerts are just the best! Your hair looks great! I use too much salt AND pepper. Joe would be all over the funnel cakes! His favorite thing to eat when available. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis was our first time … but I'm sure it won't be the last. Happy weekend to y'all!
DeleteLooks like a fun time!!! Glad you saw it in time! Cute answers! I love tons of salt on hard boiled eggs. I am not sure why lol!
ReplyDeleteBetty
That sounds good, actually. I love salt, but it doesn't love me.
DeleteThat looked like a FUN night.
ReplyDeleteYou never use salt?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Not anymore, no. It wasn't an easy separation, but I feel better.
DeleteGood time had by all, it appears!
ReplyDeleteI think so!
DeleteLooks like good fun to have a concert in the park. Over here the park is half-a-mile away. When there are concerts we can hear them all night. They have a whole weekend of concerts. Friday and Saturday it's classical music with fireworks on Saturday. Sunday it's POP music. Cancelled this year however.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel like doing anything every day. I like work though. I can watch others do it all day long.
God bless you and your family, Mevely. Keep smiling.
Spectator sports are the best! Nice that you're on the receiving end of good music … but what to do in the event of rap or heavy metal?
DeleteI do pepper too instead of salt but I do use salt on some things but very little. It looks like you all had so much fun at the park.
ReplyDeleteWe did! Much to my surprise, lol.
Deletei never use salt either. haven't since i was 17. and that was at least a century ago. looks like you all had a wonderful time at the concert. glad the weather cooperated.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Crossing my fingers it won't be too hot and humid for the remainder of this season's performances.
DeleteThe only thing I sprinkle salt on is watermelon my mother and I both love salting small pieces of watermelon not a lot just enough to sing the sugar! The thing is when I look at questions I always draw a blank like I'm drawing a blank on what motivates me to do anything and I know there's lots of stuff but I can't think of it!
ReplyDeleteTom does the same thing with his watermelon. Tho' I have to give him credit for cutting way back since his cardio procedure.
DeleteOh, how those photos made me long to be out and about, and around people again, Myra. Looks like you all had an absolute blast! No salt for me, either. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Soon, Martha … keep the faith! I believe it WILL be worth it. Blessings to you and Danny!
DeleteI always but salt on my corn on the cob and layer it up with lots of butter. How nice to get out and enjoy a summer evening. We have to enjoy them while we have them. Summer goes by so fast. It seems once the 4th of July comes it's all about fall and back to school already. I'm not ready for that for sure. When summer comes I don't cut corners on any time I can spend outdoors. Happy 1st day of Summer! Relax and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat philosophy, Ma. Particularly in light of tragedies swirling all about us. Tomorrow's not promised to any of us.
DeleteI love your hair! So sweet! I do not use much salt but Avery needs lots plus potassium. He takes crummy generic HBP meds and they are solely responsible for the sodium and potassium deficiency. Summer goes by fast. Tomorrow Christal and Alex are coming over to cook for Father's Day Mexican food. Y U M! Happy Father's Day to Tom and your son too. HUGS xo
ReplyDeleteI never thought about needing salt to offset certain meds! We'll have ribs, brisket and pulled pork, but your Mexican food sounds sooooo good!
DeleteOh that looks like fun! The next town over from us usually has concerts in the park every Friday night in the summer, but not this year. It's not Tim's idea of fun, anyway, so I don't succeed in talking him into it very often.
ReplyDeleteI put pepper on pretty much everything. I even like my popcorn with salt and pepper!
I usually put garlic powder on my popcorn, but now I'm going to have to try using pepper!
DeleteOutdoor fun looks great. Pepper for me, too! I load it up on the mashed potatoes, but one day, I used the ground pepper and when I tipped it, the lid came off, and needless to say, the potatoes turned quite gray. Hot stuff!
ReplyDeleteOoooh no! That sounds funny, but I'm sure you didn't think so at the time. Props to you for eating it!
DeleteLiked the :Newly cut, mask hair ... don't care!
ReplyDeleteImma try this:
_Seeing someone slouch/slump_ motivates me to __stand straighter_.
I put salt on __Watermelon and cantaloupe _.
When it comes to family, I don't cut corners.
Never forget a friend or those who gave all for this country_.
I enjoyed the pictures and dialog. good stuff.
Love from here
Sherry & jack
Great fill-in's, Jack ... thanks for playing along! I remember my parents always complimenting me on my posture. I'm afraid they'd be disappointed in me lately.
