After the band stopped performing together, John Cowsill went on to become a back-up musician for the Beach Boys. His job has kept him on the road much of the time. When you travel, do you enjoy staying in hotels, or would you rather stay with friends/family?
We're more or less obligated to stay with Tom's sister …. but anytime I'm given the chance I'd opt for a hotel. You know, if someone feels like getting up in the middle of the night to read -- or 'parks' himself in the bathroom for hours -- nobody's inconvenienced.

Oh! The Lennon Sisters! They were a major presence on magazine covers when I was a little girl. When my mom grocery shopped, I'd linger at the magazines and read headlines like, "The Lennons on Living, Loving and Singing!"
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the Partridge Family TV show. I caught a couple episodes on Antenna TV recently when I had tummy trouble.It wasn't very good. (But it was nice to see David in puka shells again.)
My grandma loved Welk, I'd watch it with her sometimes.

I've never understood the etiquette of staying overnight at someone's house. If you go to the bathroom in the night, do you flush the toilet and wake everyone up? Or do you leave it there till the morning? After all, no one knows it's you; not unless you write your name on it. I'm confused ...

I have a problem talking to my phone I really need to be on a computer to read all these questions and answer is because when I read it I have an answer but by the time I read the rest of them and get all the way down to the bottom I can't remember what I read or what the question was or what the answer was and then I have to scroll back up and then by the time I scroll down to the bottom I can't remember what I read or what the answer was. Haha are you picking up what I'm putting down? Am I going to get up and go to the computer so I can answer the questions?
ReplyDeleteDid not like the Monkees! Did not like Lawrence Welk! And mama and daddy always watched it and I got it in my room and close the door and read a book! Never heard of The Cowsills or that song. Last but not least I have been dreaming a lot of scary things. Since the three-month lockdown by dreaming got worse not about horror stories or anything but that thing's where I'm lost and I can't find my way or something's lost and I can't find it or I'm trying to make a doctor's appointment and I can't get the phone to work that kind of scary stuff and it's almost every night. I found a way to get past the thing on the phone I leave the post up and pull up Samsung Notes read the post cap on the notes say something read the notes app on the Note say something so I could write a book here aren't you glad

We watched Lawrence Welk at my grandmother's house when I was growing up. We couldn't get that channel at my house. Hadn't thought of that show in a long time. A one-a and a two-a.

We watched the Lawrence Welk show all the time! I still like it and played it quite often for the dementia residents. Sometimes it's on in reruns and Tim and I will watch. I do remember the Lennon Sisters being on there and recognizing them on a few other shows.

ReplyDeleteI do remember the Partrige family and the Brady Bunch. I think we need more family sitcoms like those. They weren't the ordinary family but promoted some good family ideals. I always have milk in the fridge mostly to have on my rice krispies and bananas in the morning. Cute theme today. Have a great weekend !

ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! This is the kid of stuff I miss about blogging. I have to admit, I did watch The Partridge Family. I had a huge crush on David Cassidy so it was mandatory. And now I already can't remember what all the other stuff was lol, getting old sucks!
