… back-to-back posts, that is.
Encouraged by Jon and Jack's comments, I thought it would be fun to participate in this week's episode of Sunday Stealing. Thanks, Bev!
What did you have for lunch? (Answering this Saturday night) A hamburger patty and avocado slices. It was pretty awful, on account Tom mistakenly cooked them well-done (v. our preferred medium rare). He was SO embarrassed! How do you like your burgers?
Do you dance in the car? Only if I've forgotten to use the bathroom before leaving home.
Favourite animal? I've a soft spot for all animals … but my favorites are little white dogs.
Do you watch the Olympics? The Winter games, yes. What I wouldn't give to ride the luge! I'm so envious!
What time do you usually go to bed? About 11 -- not counting the two hours I spent pre-sleeping on the loveseat.
Do you prefer to swim in a pool or the ocean? The ocean. Pool water's far too revealing.
What was the last thing you ate? A hard-boiled egg, Gruyere slices and mixed nuts.
Bottled water or tap water? Bottled. Dasani, if you please.
What makes you happy? My family, friends, faith. My dogs. Icicles, buttercup yellow, strong coffee, pistachios, 60's 'British Invasion' music, sailing ships. "..... a few of my favorite things."
Did you like swinging as a child? I sure did!
Do you still get excited when you see a swing set? I don't know about excited ... but I'm ready to go right now.
Do you work better with or without music? At the computer, no. (My mind tends to wander.) On the other hand. If housework needs done I'll crank up ABBA or Fleetwood Mac … loudly.
Do you make your bed in the morning? Of course. Don't you?
Do you like your music loud? See above.
Do you fear thunder/lightening? Having lived in the lightening capital of the country (Clearwater), let's say I've an exaggerated respect for its potential.

never listen to music while at home, in the car depends on my mood, if the music has a beat I dance in my seat.

NEVER watch the Olympics or any other sport. Big black dogs ha ha the opposite on little white ones. LOVE THEM ALL though
I'm afraid peace and quiet would entice me to take a nap ... not clean. See, I need a cheering section. Ha.

DeleteI am glad to see I am not the only one that has a respect for lightning and what it can do. It has hit our tv's and DSL more than once and the thunder if it is close shakes our house. Scary.

Scary, for sure! At my mother's place (on Florida's Gulf coast) a lightening bolt came through her kitchen window and fried the wall-mounted landline.

DeleteThey wanted to be famous like the Everly Brothers or the Walker Brothers, (remember them?) or like Peter Paul and Mary. So they called themselves the Trio Brothers because the Duel Brothers did not sound well. They both played guitars and they had a tape recorder playing the drums for them.

There's no room in my car to dance, and I'm a lousy dancer even when I'm not in a car.

I used to watch the Olympics when I had a TV.
As a hopeless night owl and helpless insomniac, I often go to bed at dawn.
Pools are unsanitary and oceans are intimidating. I swim in the bathtub.
Last thing I ate - a salami sandwich.
Bottled water in Los Angeles and West Texas.
Tap water here in pure, clean Tennessee.
What makes me happy? Valium, whiskey, and seeing Democrats lose.
Swinging? I'm all for it.
I work without any distractions.
Never make my bed in the morning. Nobody's gonna see it except my cats.
I like to hear opera full-volume.
I'm in constant fear that a vengeful God will zap me with a bolt of lightning....
I'm pretty sure the art of dancing's not all it's cracked up to be, Jon. Can't do it, dislike watching. Loved your response to those things which make you happy!

ReplyDeleteI am a lover of thunder and lightening, yeah, that makes me odd. I always thought threat made me inquisitive like Benjamin Franklin.
I could NEVER work and have music going. For years I thought no one could do a good job if any music was in the background, until I realized my Sherry could, then I understood, it was ME, now everyone else who was 'maybe' wrong. LOL

DeleteFavorite animal, calico cats, and little beagle puppies. Got this out of order, but had salad for lunch today. I dance anywhere I have room. I like the pool because it is revealing, the ocean has some things in the parts you cannot see that come to the top. We lived on the Bismark Sea in Papua New Guinea. I learned to snorkel but did not like going out and down in the deep...I wanted to stay where I could see the bottom. I am a night bird...usually go to bed around 2 am. Bottled water anytime. Like music loud, usually always make my bed. Love to see lightening and hear thunder and watch a huge storm come in as long as I am underneath a good porch. It was my best thing to do when we lived in Papua New Guinea, watch a storm come, as the rain got closer the air got cooler then when the rain stopped and the son came out, sweat city. One more, what makes me happy????? My Savior, my husband when he gives me back rubs, my children, grandchildren, a good road trip, anything chocolate, living back in the states during the fall.

DeleteFor lunch yesterday, I had leftover minestrone soup and the last thing I ate was a donut with my morning coffee. I prefer Disante bottled water too. I'd rather be in a pool to the ocean as it's so salty. Respect for lightening is a very good thing. We're having one of those rare beautiful spring days here today. Hope your Monday is a good one!

DeleteAlways, always make up the bed! And last evening for dinner, Danny made delicious Salisbury steak with mushrooms and gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans. Great Easter dinner.
