Water Cooler Wednesday

...once more.  Thanks for dropping by!

It's that time of year when folks traditionally take to the road, set sail or fly, fly away!

What is one vacation destination that many people think is just fab, but which you have no desire to visit (or re-visit)?

On the flip side …..
Is there someplace you're yearning to visit (or revisit)?

Stay cool … be safe!

Hugs,
Myra

  1. I absolutely loved the Grand Canyon, but have had no desire to return. We have made Lancaster, PA a regular destination. For many reasons I keep wanting to go back. (Now I have an idea for a blog entry! Thanks)

    1. I can understand the Grand Canyon, yes. It would be mesmerizing to sit all day and watch the colors change, but once you've seen it? Yep, move on down the road. :)

  2. PS: Right off the top of my head I cannot think of a destination spot I did not like! ;-)

  3. you will never ever never find me on a cruise ship, or any of the ship or anything that floats. my desire is to go to Ormond Beach one more time, that was our 2 times a year destination for vacation until we got Jake, haven't been since 2005

    1. Different strokes, right? If I could afford it, I'd like to live aboard an ocean-going vessel. Now curiosity's got me looking up Orland Beach; I'd never heard of it!

  4. Hawaii. You'll never see me flying over a large body of water like an ocean (though thoughts of going to Israel keep playing around in my head at times). I loved Washington, DC. I could go back there again and again (and will be doing so later this summer :)

    1. I totally agree about Hawaii. It's a great destination, but my experience wasn't a good fit. Please do a blog on your upcoming DC trip?

  5. France/Paris. Zero desire to ever go. Nothing about it has ever caught my interest. As for going back, I want to go back to Chincoteague Island, VA. They were killing me on Facebook today with the videos of the wild pony swim. It's my happy place. I'd move there if I could.

    1. My mother said the people (she encountered) in Paris were so stuck up and rude. I remember reading about the wild pony swim in grade school and wishing I could visit!

    1. What wonderful memories you have to borrow on, Paula! I wonder if some things aren't best left there (in our memories).

  9. I burn very easily, and sitting on a beach anywhere doesn't appeal to me.

  10. Great answer! That's something I wouldn't have thought of.

  11. I like Hawaii, the Big Island, but could care less to go back. Now, Costa Rica is a different story! I like mountains and look forward to a little get-a-way to the White Mountains next month.

  13. I would not want to visit the past in case I bumped into my mother-in-law on her broomstick.

    God bless.

  15. My favorite place to be is the beach, always has been, probably always will be. For me it's the most relaxing place on earth.

  16. There's something positive to say about all the places we've visited, and I'd be happy to visit any of them again. Especially Hawaii. We met there for R&R in 1970, and it was a magical time. But I'd be open to visit just about anyplace new, too. Especially if water is involved.

  17. Almost everybody I know has been to Hawaii - and they all RAVE about it.

I have no desire to go there. Being trapped on a volcanic island isn't my idea of fun....

    1. My parents sent my son's dad and I there in the early 70's. Didn't care much for it then … and I've never been anxious to return.

    2. Ooops! I didn't see Susan's positive comment (above) about Hawaii before I wrote my negative one.
