I absolutely loved the Grand Canyon, but have had no desire to return. We have made Lancaster, PA a regular destination. For many reasons I keep wanting to go back. (Now I have an idea for a blog entry! Thanks)
ReplyDeleteI can understand the Grand Canyon, yes. It would be mesmerizing to sit all day and watch the colors change, but once you've seen it? Yep, move on down the road. :)

ReplyDeleteDifferent strokes, right? If I could afford it, I'd like to live aboard an ocean-going vessel. Now curiosity's got me looking up Orland Beach; I'd never heard of it!
DeleteHawaii. You'll never see me flying over a large body of water like an ocean (though thoughts of going to Israel keep playing around in my head at times). I loved Washington, DC. I could go back there again and again (and will be doing so later this summer :)

DeleteFrance/Paris. Zero desire to ever go. Nothing about it has ever caught my interest. As for going back, I want to go back to Chincoteague Island, VA. They were killing me on Facebook today with the videos of the wild pony swim. It's my happy place. I'd move there if I could.
ReplyDeleteMy mother said the people (she encountered) in Paris were so stuck up and rude. I remember reading about the wild pony swim in grade school and wishing I could visit!

I've visited lots of wonderful places. None of them would I really want to do again. Except possibly Bangkok Thailand. That was awesome.

ReplyDeleteI like Hawaii, the Big Island, but could care less to go back. Now, Costa Rica is a different story! I like mountains and look forward to a little get-a-way to the White Mountains next month.

DeleteThere's something positive to say about all the places we've visited, and I'd be happy to visit any of them again. Especially Hawaii. We met there for R&R in 1970, and it was a magical time. But I'd be open to visit just about anyplace new, too. Especially if water is involved.

My parents sent my son's dad and I there in the early 70's. Didn't care much for it then … and I've never been anxious to return.
