I've so many bits and pieces flying about my brain, I thought it would be best simply to combine everything into a 'show and tell.' (Some of you remember 'show and tell', don't you?)

My first-ever taste of Jambalaya.
..... won't be my last!
Despite last Friday's threatening storms, I couldn't not visit the Hey Bebe food truck at The Rex.
Normally, I don't pay much attention to food critics, but totally agree with this excerpt from Birmingham Restaurant Week:
Today was the 1st time we tried or have even heard of Hey Bebe. Their Jambalaya is out of this world DELICIOUS! Y’all, I can’t possibly do this jambalaya justice. It’s got a little heat & features tender, juicy chicken & sausage that has a great snap to it. No exaggeration, this dish is just as good if not BETTER than any you’d get in New Orleans. Service was super friendly. We were greeted with a jolly, “Hey baby!” & enjoyed chatting about New Orleans for a min.

DeleteI did not know Macie and Gracie are only 78 days older than Beau. He will be 10 on Oct 14th. he will not be getting a spa day or a new bed, butt he will never know because I covered his eyes while we were reading this post. he did give a small snicker at the wild ear day! BOL

Those crazy ears just happened when I turned the ceiling fan on high ... I was so afraid she was going to move before I could grab my phone.

DeleteOh my goodness, I love jambalaya!! Several restaurants here in town have it on their menu but Shell's is the best. Your pups looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing your family's treasures with us. DeleteHappy Birthday to your spoiled and lovely girls. I'd probably spoil them too! I've visited New Orleans and loved the food there! And I will never forget the sights. I've not seen the movie, but it sounds pretty intense to me. I prefer one with comedy in it. I'll may be see it someday when it comes out on Netflix. That's the way I watch most of my movies. They are old by the time I see them but they are free and the popcorn and drink are cheaper too. Hope you are keeping cool there. We got a break from the heat of summer here today. Love, ma

Zazzle does lots of different things too. I saw your comment at Pamela's about that devil stomping t shirt. I love devil stomping! I just ordered a couple Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the original movie eons ago. Should be here by the weekend. I had not thought about Oppenheimer and all the people involved in the Manhattan Project until we started to watch The Big Bang Theory. Oppenheimer was a hero to Sheldon Cooper. Avery can spout off the names of those associated with the Manhattan Project. He certainly had a brilliant mind. Quite sad he passed away so young as well as his wife kItty & the suicide of their daughter. About a month ago Noelle's friend Crystal and her beau Robbie (he is a Mississippi boy) were doing a crawfish boil. Rebekah just basically invited herself & Zach Oh boy! But Zach loves that stuff. Robbie is a sweetheart. He loves to sit and talk with me and he tells all my kids ! So haha for them! Noelle can make a mean jambalaya! But these days she does not cook any more. It is quite sad to me. Occasionally we will have brunch and she will make her famous Cheesy hashbrowns like Cracker Barrel. Oh Lord you need a bank loan to snack at the movies today!!!. I pray both you and Tom are getting along well. :-) Hugs and Love and Prayers
