Tuesday 4 - Toni wondered

While I didn't 'know' Toni, I appreciate Annie honoring her memory via this sweet weekly meme!  Won't you come on along?

When was the last time you tried something new?

I heated Tom's chili using the right-side burner.

Who in your family do you compare yourself to?

I'll never be the lady my mother personified, but any time I'm provoked to say or do something unkind, I ask myself: "What would mother do?"  She was hard-wired for courtesy.

What lesson in life did you learn the hard way?

You don't know what you 've lost 'til it's gone.

What can you do today that you weren't able to do before?

Last night's episode was difficult -- but (most of the time) I can watch reality TV (The Bachelor) without corkscrewing myself into the ceiling.

Have a great day, y'all!
Hugs, Myra

  1. I watched the bachelor too and got so mad when he couldn't make up his mind as to who he was in love with. I think he's going back to the one who walked away. Only goes to prove your thought You really miss something when you don't have it any longer.

  2. Enjoyed your answers, Myra! Danny and I used to watch The Bachelor, but no longer. Usually disappointed in how it turns out.
    Blessings!

    1. Of course you're right. I just wonder how foolish the Bachelor feels after the fact when he realizes what REALLY was going on.

  7. Holy Craparoo - I've learned more lessons in life the hard way that it would be impossible to list them all.

When did I try something new?
Now that FedEx finally discovered my rural address, I enjoy ordering essentials online.

Who in my family do I compare myself to?
My mother and I had an enormous amount of things in common. Unfortunately, I also inherited some of my father's wildly unconventional traits - - but thank goodness I didn't get his violence.

I always enjoy your answers, Myra.

  8. Yay for using the right side burner!! You go girl! We aren't half the ladies our moms were. My mom too was very kind. Lol about reality TV. I think I saw one Bachelor episode years ago. That was enough for me!

  9. I like your answers, Mevely. Especially the one about your mother. Courtesy is so important and the world is getting worse because people lack courtesy and good manners. It starts with lack of courtesy and then people care less and less about each other.

    God bless you always.

  10. Congrats on trying that other burner!! Made me chuckle. I enjoyed your answers, Myra. You described your mom in a much better way than mine has been described by us (with a wink and a chuckle)... My mom wouldn't say sh_t if she was standing in it. (sorry!) Hugs!! xo

  11. You are the best with coming up with 'real' answers. BUT when you said this, dadgummit, you opened DOORS:.... You don't know what you 've lost 'til it's gone...........
THANK YOU!! That is so on target right now it means a lot of real THINKING.............
I know Tom appreciated it, even from the right side burner....
    Love to a sweet-heart,

  14. I'm still a bit behind in getting around to reading all my friends' posts. Oh, the comment about the right burner is funny! LOL. 15. I am not a reality TV person but I know people who gather together to watch the Bachelor and other shows. Everyone has their favorite things.Aw...you are the St. Patrick's Day baby too. Lots of 'em today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you and hoping the USPS sent our card your way. I never trust them anymore, sadly. My niece Carrie has a birthday today, Avery's cousin Dwight, my friend Edna (MIchaels wife), my friend Barb's youngest son Scott. It is a wonderful day to be born. I was watching the news regarding this foul weather ugh. They had a piece about Irish immigrants who were miners up in Leadville, Colorado. They are trying to complete a memorial to them. So many lost their lives. The average age was 22-23. I am going to chekc out the Channel 2 Denver news site to see how I may donate to the cause. ANyway I am on line as long as the weather allows it. It already stole my time with the Maine Cabin Master's, I'm too sad. I hope your birthday is special and you enjoy each moment. Love & Hugs
