For the opportunity to picnic with my son and DIL yesterday! I wasn't really sure how they wanted to handle this social distancing thing, but right away Troy came over and gave me a big hug. (My heart!)

Jackson Lake Island is a popular recreational spot, but we were sure surprised to see soooo many people had the same idea. Out enjoying the beautiful weather, they were feeding the wild goats ... fishing ... boating … and just soaking up the sun.
Wow. It felt like Governor Ivy threw open a curtain and said, "Go!"

but trust me, it was hysterical when several goats decided to join Troy and Tom and began helping themselves to the fried chicken.

A few months ago, I was pulling into Wal-Mart and began singing, "School days, school days, dear old golden rule days..." Then yesterday morning? "Hot diggity, dog diggity …"
I can assure you, I've not heard these since 1950-something!

i have asked myself and bob so many times, where did that song come from. just a few days ago i was belting out See the USA in your chevorlet and that is as old as your songs and about a month ago, purple people eater popped in my head. and now that i have seen your songs they will appear sooner than later.

I freaked out when i saw the first picture of you and your son because i was jealous you were there at an old church and buidings. i had no idea it was a movie set and have never heard of that movie... i love old buildings and agree with you on the before/after things.

Seen on TV in Australia a woman wearing a face mask where she had cut a hole for her nose and mouth. When asked why, she said it helps her to breathe !!!

ReplyDeleteToday was great here, we got to be with all of Mark's family (except him) and Jack Jr. We ordered several family dinners from Red Lobster and had a feast.

DeleteSadly, some of us are way into the woods, but hopeful that things will slowly begin to improve. I ordered four masks and I think I ordered a too-small size and they don't stay on. I was optimistic I was stocked for awhile. I don't go out a lot, but a little sunshine -- while masked and socially distant -- is a life saver. Hope you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, going out and about -- in a responsible fashion -- does wonders. Hmmm about your mask; I didn't realize they came in differing sizes. The ones I ordered from ETSY came withz laces as shown in the graphic and are washable. Please let me know if you'd like that link. Personally, I can't see me going out without it for several weeks. Maybe months.

DeleteLike you I have a terrible case of quarantine hair, but thankfully our hair dresser called and DD and I have an appointment on the 21st. I know this is not by any means over yet, but using caution I'll be getting my hair cut then. Yay! At least I'll feel a little bit more normal then. Meanwhile I am keeping a safe distance and when my son and his family came by yesterday, I had to turn down a hug from my grandson. He looked a bit hurt when I said no, now now. Glad you got a hug for yourself anyway. I love getting and getting hugs.I do miss them.
