ReplyDeletebeautiful mirror. I have a drainer, the tin type, blue and white. my grandmothers, went to mother and then to me. I use it almost every day. I have dessert dishes in pink depression glass, my grandmothers, we use them every single day, for fruit or fluff dessert..
ReplyDeleteThe only old thing that I still use would be the mantle clock that still sits in my living room. Thanks to one of my sons that had it fixed for me, it still works when I remember to wind it up. I need to do that today. Happy Monday!

ReplyDeleteGosh, got to think about this since I'm so not sentimental so I don't have a lot of things from growing up or even from my mom. I do like your mirror, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteA funny one but looking around the house, my eyes settled on our file cabinet. Have it for most of our married life and I still use it for keeping track of paper and this and that, so I'm thinking that's the oldest thing. LOL.

My brain. My teeth may go sometime, but the brain stays. Maybe it isn't as bright as it once was, tho.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a picture handy but I own and wear at least once a week a tshirt that was my mom's. She died in 1995 and had that shirt for a few years before that so it is about 26 years old. My wedding ring is 34 years old... Oh my gosh! My mom's cedar chest was her graduation gift in 1948. I use it every day. That makes it 71 years old. I have some dishes that were my grandmothers' but I don't use them.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking my grandfather's singer sewing machine or my grandmother's wooden ironing board. However I don't use them at all but I love owning them. I do use a dining room set from Mark's grandmother and I use a hutch from my other grandmother.
ReplyDeleteA 4 quart stockpot. I Purchased a set from a door to door saleman when I was a mere 18 years old. My dad was making the cuckoo cuckoo face behind me as I signed the contract to pay in full in x amount of months. I have a 6 inch frying pan, a 2 qt. pan and the stock pot. I use those pieces every day. You have the best stuff over here. HUGS
