Oh, don't make me choose! I can't name just one.

Your favorite patriotic song?
I've written about this before. Back in the early 80's R. and I'd an opportunity to enjoy dinner following the ProAm (golf) LaJet Classic in Abilene.
My friends and I'd never heard of the entertainer, Lee Greenwood. (We were more interested in oogling Farrah, sitting a few tables away with her father.)

When he introduced his newly released God Bless the USA we were all struck silly, on our feet. That's been my favorite ever since!
Red, white or blue? Stars or stripes? Something you own besides a US flag with some combination of those colors or decorations as part of its design?
Red stars, please.
We don't really decorate our home's front like (I) should -- but thanks to the Dollar Tree, I can easily dress up our sunroom table.

What's one thing you want more of this summer: Fun, rest, adventure, connection, quiet or confidence?

Life's been pretty serious these last few years.
What was your ultimate, go-to summer activity when you were a kid? Do you still do any version of that today?
I was all about horses -- whether on my grandparent's farm, riding a mule down the Grand Canyon or at summer camp.
I'm still tempted to ride again, but I know my hips would punish me later.

Monday morning the vet ruled out any spinal abnormalities but given that her liver numbers are elevated he wants to do an ultrasound. That may be happening as we speak.

DeleteOh what is happening to our furbabies? Susie this morning has been reacting to something. Itching and she's aggravated. I'm wondering if she's having a reaction to the thyroid medication.

DeleteI was just thinking today I wished I had a red checked tablecloth or at least some napkins. A visit to the Dollar Tree may be in my immediate future if I can talk hubby into it. I didn't know about Grace. I am way behind. I pray she will be okay. I know your heart is still so tender over Macie Ann. (((HUGS))) I love the painted patriotic hay bales and tires, and yes, I love Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA! I'm glad our President chose that as his theme song throughout his campaigns. I AM Proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free! Amen!! Love to you and yours this special holiday season.
ReplyDeleteThe tablecloth is several years old now, but cross fingers you find something 'just right'! I, too, am so glad President Trump chose that song.
DeleteOh, and you were so cute on that pony. I am envious...I always wanted to ride a pony when I was little. I may done it once, but that was it. It was my dream! I did ride some horses later in life and my body barely survived the pain afterwards....that was definitely something to remember.LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh Pam, I was so doggone horse crazy. One of my all-time favorite childhood memories was getting to meet Roy Rogers' Trigger when they came to the New Mexico state fair.

DeleteWe heard Lee Greenwood perform the song at a Tennessee football game and no matter how many times it's played it is still so very moving. I'm sorry about Grace and hope all is well. Our dog was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease and has been pretty puny. I love the tablecloth! Your picture reminds me I have some red checked cloths I need to pull out. Have a great weekend!
