Do you know what this means? Or that one in the middle? How about the last?
Since most some of you don't use turn signals any longer, I've been thinking about doing this.
Suppose anyone will recognize my intentions? (*grin*)

Dear Dental Hygienist -
Following my less-than stellar encounter with you in October, I finally decided to keep my follow-up Wednesday morning. My bad.
Granted, you don't know me and my family from Adam, but I think it was in poor taste to refer to the Army National Guard (being) the "lowest of the low." My grandson-in-law is certainly not "low" -- nor are the other men and women in uniform presently serving our Country.
Oh, and I didn't realize things were so bad on your boss' latest P-and-L statement? Normally after each visit I'm given a little bag containing a toothbrush, trial-size toothpaste and floss. Instead, you asked, "Do you want a toothbrush? I just gave you one in October."
No, I'm not ready to say anything to the doctor -- I'd hate for you to possibly be disciplined right before Christmas. But you won't have to concern yourself seeing this "real trooper" again next year.

The joy ... the giggles ... wisdom ... even the tears you've brought to this playground (aka, Blogger) mean more to me than anything wrapped in ribbon.

DeleteI am laughing because I know myself that some letters just like this need to be sent. When I was in Branson last month, I was making a purchase at a semi-wood shop. They had these little tokens with all of the different military branches on them...Except for SPACE FORCE. My grandson is in Space Force.. I asked the guy why they didn't have it and he said..."I've never heard of it." of course he was being Sarcastic. He went on to say that Space Force is useless. This comment did not settle well with this grandmother. I politely told him what I thought and made sure he understood that without Space Force, the defense program for all the satellites would have huge problems. This man knew I was not happy. Sometimes there are ignorant folks who need a letter sent to Santa right now so they can get the Coal that they deserve under their tree. I love your blog and I am extremely thankful that the Lord opened the door for us to cross paths. Hugs Myra...

DeleteBoo hiss to that dental hygienist! Next time tell her that the American Dental Association recommends changing out a toothbrush after three or four months, and you would like to have your replacement ready.

DeleteOH my! That dental hygenist needs to go back to grammar school and learn some manners. I think I would have to complain to her superior about her demeanor, and especially about the comment abou the National Guard. That is totally uncalled for and inappropriate under any circumstances. She'll be the first one in line, however, when disaster strikes and she needs to be rescued! Maybe her attitude will change then. I hope it doesn't come to that, however, because of all the good and innocent people who will also need help.

Your perspective on things, as exemplified in this post, are always filled with humor and common sense, two attributes that are difficult to come by in this crazy time in which we live. I can't believe the callousness of that dental tech toward our brave men and women in uniform, but you handled the situation so well. If I were Santa, she'd be on my naughty list, for sure.

DeleteShame on her, most armed services enter their careers with the best of intentions. If anyone is the lowest of the low, it's our lazy feckless politicians who are only too eager to send them off to needless wars for oil, bankers and the weapons industry.

ReplyDeleteMy personal solution to the idiots of this world, is now I never come face to face with them, because I am home 24/7 care-giving and to exhausted to notice what the doctors office says or doesn't say. in fact, I don't even talk to them, we are being put through like cattle going to the slaughter house.

DeleteI'm one that is proud of any one in the militiary so definitely would have let that person have a few choice words! Dentists are never a favorite place for me and I haven't been to one in years. Unfortunately my teeth have suffered due to that. our Whole neighborhood is well lit and I love all the Christmas lights! Remember, better days are coming! Love, ma

DeleteYour Dental Hygienist seems to be very obnoxious. Furthermore, any comments of disrespect toward our military she should keep to herself. jmho What is it with people not using their turn signals? We have that same issue here. Mr D and I see it and comment on it every time so somewhere. And yes, I know those hand signals too. When I started driving only the 'high-dollar' cars had turn indicators. ((hugs)) to you Myra, have a very Merry Christmas.

DeleteI'm so sorry about your dental hygienist. Most of mine have been good, but there was one... Fortunately she had trouble with me... the angle she insisted in putting me in made me cough. At one point she got angry and walked out before she had completely finished. I don't know if she's still working there on other patients, but for the past couple of years the dentist has been cleaning my teeth herself. I love that dentist!
