Small stuff

Hey there!

Thank y'all so much for your sweet anniblogaversary comments.  Had to check the mirror to make sure my head wasn't all puffed-up!

I'm absolutely loving this morning's break from summer heat.  I've put on my hunter's plaid pajama bottoms, Christmas shirt and am enjoying my French Roast brew in this favorite mug.

Pretty sure I've passed this house on one of our family's weekly trips to Santa Fe.
There's little likelihood I'll ever return, but still.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!  (How many more days, Anne?)

Did I tell y'all?
Last week my kids celebrated their 33rd anniversary.  Normally, we'd take them out for a steak dinner, but they had baby-sitting duty ..... and who am I to refuse a chance to see Penelope?

(Granddaughter) Chloe's BFF

Aside from two (count 'em!) hour-long calls with HP tech, ours was a pretty mellow week.
Knock wood, I think the malware that hijacked Google Chrome has gone back to Hades where it belongs.
**
I can't think of many things that strike fear in my head -- but that sort of thing's right up there with air travel, cancer, and things that slither.

In the test kitchen?

I don't claim to be a pro at the stove-top, but I love to play with my food.

For instance.  Eggs over easy.
No matter how many times I've tried to master the wrist flip, they always wind up scrambled.

Until this morning!  Voila!

Tom may grow really tired of eggs before I discover something new.

What's playing?

I think I told y'all that Tom keeps the television on Gutfield, Newsmax or YouTube practically 24/7.  Thankfully the audio streams to his hearing aids so I can't tell if there's sounds of WWII aircraft or Doo-Wop 60's and 70's greatest hits.

Normally I ignore it all but have been sucked in to the latter big-time.  Do you ever do that?
Looking back at some of these artists I'm wondering whatever I saw in so-and-so ... or who's still swoon-worthy.

I'll let you decide, lol!

On that note, I've got to quit rambling and get some Necessary stuff accomplished.

Stay safe everyone!

Hugs, Myra

** It's baaaack!
At this point, I'm ready to uninstall Chrome and do everything via Microsoft Edge.  Any ideas, short of taking a mallet to the desktop?

  1. What a pain that malware can be. I’ve been using Brave and duck duck go for about 6 years and so far so good. I sure hope you can get a handle on it.
Penelope is so cute. 🥰 Love that photo of the snow covered adobe house. Nice!

  2. Step by Step is a song I don't remember, but 16 Candles? Oh, yes! Penelope just gets more beautiful every time I see her, too, and Chloe is such an adorable mom. Enjoy this cooler weather, Myra!

  3. I do not use Chrome, we are supposed to at work, but I refuse. So, sorry, I cannot help, sigh. I don't even use Chrome here on my laptop, no way, it's riddled with bad stuff. Chloe is just plum adorable, smiles. Wishing you a beautiful evening.

    1. I didn't realize Chrome was so edgy. Goin' in my "chuck-it!" pile.

  4. Such lovely photos of your family; bless them.

It is so frustrating when technology does not work as it's supposed to. I don't understand why they develop new versions and up-dates of a product that load up automatically. You turn on the computer and you have a new version of the software you've become used to.

I liked that music. Thank you. Very cheerful on this slightly chilly evening. Is it winter already?

    God bless.

  5. Computer trouble and car trouble. The worst of the worst. Penelope is adorable. I'm not ready for snow (ever!) but cooler temps and no humidity would be wonderful! Love ya!!

  6. Oh boy - I dread computer problems - almost more than anything. If something happened to my husband, I would not know what to do. I would have to give my computer up. Next is car trouble - just got mine back today. Penelope is adorable can't wait to meet Mackenzie. Use Duck Duck Go as your browser.

  8. If you are reading this Sunday, there are just 144 days until Christmas!
Penelope is adorable. I had rather play with her than eat out any day!

  9. Like you, I would definitely be enjoying the little ones and I would pick that over steak for sure. Sweet little Penelope is adorable and so is Chloe. I need to find out how your hubby connects his hearing aids to the TV. We purchased a new TV and were hoping this would work for Sam, but we have not been able to connect them. Our temps dropped just a bit here yesterday, but expecting highs again today. Computer issues drives me nuts. I've not heard of duck duck go, but I might just check it out. have a good one today Myra.

  10. Good to hear you are cooler there, not so here! Temps close to 100 are our norm now for a while! Although we did get a good downpour last night that cooled off our evening, but today it's hot and sunny out again! Penelope is so cute! I'd want to spend all my time with her! I wasn't aware of any malware on google. It didn't affect me at all. Glad you are back on track again! Have a relaxing Sunday! Love, ma

    1. In short, anything I type into the GoogleChrome search bar reverts to Yahoo. So far, neither we or HP techs can get rid of it.

  11. For the most part I use the Firefox browser, except for the ONE blog I read that doesn't play well with it. Then I use Chrome.

  16. Computers !!! Can't live with them or without them. I do hope your problems can be solved. Both Dave's desktop and my laptop are becoming outdated and his is threatening to stop in October. They are so expensive we can't afford new ones. It is going to be a dilemma... sigh ...
Aww your Penelope is so precious. I want to squeeze her.
My fried eggs always look scrambled. Not the best fry-cook on the block for sure..
