So, I'm thinking, miracles can be elusive... akin to one of my favorite song from the 60's, "Butterfly of Love."
How to relate? Right here, right now? I'll borrow from childhood:
Growing up just outside Santa Fe, New Mexico, I was all too familiar with the infamous Loretto Staircase. Yes, that's a sigh ….. remembering the sheer boredom I felt every time my parents felt compelled to parade out-of-town family and friends to that Chapel.
Only now – decades removed from “The City Different” can I appreciate it's history and charm.
One reviewer has written:
Architects will tell you it should have crashed the moment someone set foot on it.
Scientists say it defies the laws of gravity.
But the Sisters of Loretto know: It was a miracle.
If you've not had an opportunity to see it personally, you may enjoy this moving depiction. (Please, don't forget to "mute" my playlist, below.)

Wow. I had never heard of this before! Thanks for joining the Miracle Party and sharing it with us this Spiritual Sunday. The staircase is absolutely amazing and no doubt a miracle.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this! Thanks for sharing this miracle.
ReplyDeleteTom and I visited Sante Fe a few years ago and it is beautiful.
Love,
Mary
I have been to Loretto several times and it is a Miracle. As a designer --it is nearly impossible to engineer this and in the time frame.
ReplyDeleteGod designed and built it!
Thank-you for sharing this!

Oh My Gosh Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share this evening for the miracle weekend. I have never heard of this place and I enjoyed watching the video twice. What a marvel and ofcourse we all know who the mysterious gentleman was and we also know why it is built without nails or glue. How amazing that it just happens to have 33 steps to the top.
I would love to go to Sante Fe to see this. I am adding it to my bucket list for sure.
Oh thank you so much for sharing with me. Please pop over and leave a comment on my blog as all my comments count for $1.00 too from Guideposts magazine.
I love you sweet friend and pray you are well. Thank you for sharing with me this beautiful evening. Love, Sherry
I do believe in miracles. I do. I do. Have a great Sunday....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! As I watched this Miraculous video I was reminded of some of the most challenging times in my own life where God used people to be as his angels of love, giving me just what I needed to carry on life's journey.
ReplyDeleteI think that was an Angel send by God.
Thank you for sharing this.
Sweet Blessings,
Virginia

I have never heard of it - but it looks amazing. Isn't it funny how what we see changes with age. Have a good night. sandie
ReplyDeleteWOW!This brought goose bumps to me and tears in my eyes. What an amazing video, I'm so glad you shared this today.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,

I had heard this wonderful story, and I loved the video telling it again. I would love to see it myself.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think of the scripture that He will confound the wisdom of the wise.
Beautiful post to wake up to this AM.
I remember how I felt the first time I saw this staircase and heard the story. Those same feelings have returned as I read this post. I love this kind of miracle. I bought a little refrigerator magnet with the picture of the staircase on it. Thank you for sharing this today.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte
As Charlotte said, I too remember how I felt the first time I saw this staircase. What a wonderful video and especially for today. Thank you. We love to go to Santa Fe. What a marvelous place. Sorry to be so late in getting here.
ReplyDeleteSanta Fe is very near the top of my list and I will definitely make sure I get to see this site. Thanks so much for sharing.
