Hello again! How the heck are y'all?
Before I forget .. I got such a kick out of your favorite "S" responses! It's always fun getting to know one another a little better.
I love this image. The Great Physician's right there alongside.
In other news. Mother Nature clearly can't pick a season and stick with it. I adore my hoodies, but come mid-morning have to change into a cotton blouse. Only to settle in my recliner come nightfall with a 14# weighted blanket.
And still, the grass continues to grow. Grrrr.
Speaking of seasons. Now's the time I should be replacing my 'earthy' surroundings with lighter tones. Fragrances. Nevertheless. This morning I chose a new Mrs. Meyers hand soap named, "Gingerbread." Because I can. (And that makes me happy!)
Do you ever smell a certain scent, they suddenly remember a small part of your childhood?
I can still smell the coffee beans as my mother ground them into a little paper bag there at Safeway. I love the smell of fresh-ground coffee beans to this day.
Or these?
Um, that would be a hard no.
Not naming names, but this makes me smile and nod.

Isn't this weather just the pits! You never know how to dress or if you need the heat on or turn the AC on. It's crazy. But, it sounds like you have it under control. Good for you. Now I need to go find me some socks.... my feet are cold.
ReplyDeleteYep! 🤪
DeleteGood morning Myra. I don't even know what to think about this weather. we've had almost summer weather this week and now today.. it is chilly outside. Our redbud trees are budding out and it looks like Spring outside. 🤷♀️. So glad that Tom's surgery has been a success and that he is getting past the rough part. I really do not want to give up my cinnamon fragrance but I suppose I should. going to be cool today so put your hoody on. hugs
ReplyDeleteMmmm! I love cinnamon!
DeleteYep, this weather is cray cray...anyways, you light up the room Myra, you sure do. Have a beautiful day my friend. And I am happy to know Tom is doing better. smiles
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteI am craving a day with nothing on the calendar! Unless the Universe decides to dump on me that should happen this week,
ReplyDeleteCrossing my fingers there's no dumping going on you!
DeleteI'm thrilled to know that Tom is doing so well, Myra! He's a trooper, for sure. We're experiencing some yo-yo weather here, too, but it's so typical of the winter to spring transition here in the South. I do the same as you when it comes to figuring out what to wear. Don't worry - at some point, it will just be too hot to go outdoors. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteTrue that!
Deletedoing the same weather thing here, walk in 2 layers by 3pm turn AC on for 1 hour, turn it off to cold, sleep under blanket at night.
ReplyDeleteYAY for the good news on Tom's pain level and new hip.. I know he will be happy with the results and so will you. I love the smell of coffee perking, of grinding the beans, of just opening the dark roast bag and sniffing it when its new.
about the thought at the end, I can see where you wrote my name and then redacted it so it did not show and make everyone thing it is to them, not me. one of the lady's in the rehab home across the hall from Bob, told me "you are just Precious" when you come in my room, you light up the room...
there are people like that. I am now thinking I might be a doomsayer
That lady is right!
DeleteI know what you mean about no appointments. I do like when that happens but right now mine is filling up way too fast. Happy to hear that Tom is doing well. I hear you on Mother Nature. The Gingerbread soap sounds lovely. That is interesting about the coffee bean smell. That's funny about Gracie and the grass. I know my daughter has to shovel in Montana for her little Finley. Hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love to see a photo of Finley in the snow!
DeleteI'm so happy to read that Tom is doing so well. I think the new hip will make him a "new" man.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the smell of fresh ground coffee beans. There is nothing like it. Glad you found the gingerbread soap too. Why not??? If it makes you happy go for it. The "Seasonal Police aren't going to report you !!! I'm glad things have quieted down for you and that you can enjoy not running around at such a busy pace. It seems Dave and I have slowed down more...probably not such a good thing for us but life gets complicated some times and we need a break.
Sue
I hope so, too. He's been in pain for so very long now. I hope you and Dave enjoy your temporary 'down' time!
DeleteIt's so good to hear Tom is progressing okay, good for him!! I read all the comments o the "S" blog, enjoyed all of them :0). My parents were big coffee drinkers, I can remember waking up in the mornings to fresh brewed coffee. I still love that smell, it's great when Mr D gets up first and turns the coffee pot on. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary!
DeleteHow wonderful that Tom is doing so well! Must have a lot to do with your loving care too. 🥰
ReplyDeleteThe smell or odor that takes me back to childhood is Orange blossoms usually in mid-Spring. I grew up in Central Florida where Orange and other citrus bearing trees were prevalent including on our own 1 acre of land. 🧡
I would hope that others say that saying about me too and not, "Oh, good, she's gone ..." after I leave the room. 😂😂
Have a great rest of the weekend! 😉
😄😄😄
DeleteOh my goodness Myra - we are so much a like sometimes - I just love that meme and I totally get it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Tom is doing so well.
I love the smell of coffee. I remember play doe. I remember the orange smell at Chinese stores. Chocolate - lol.
I agree coat in the morning and night and spring clothes in the daytime.
I bought a gingerbread soap for my granddaughter.
For Shaye ... or MacKenzie?
DeletePraying and praising God that Tom's operation went well; and that he is recuperating slowly. God bless you both.
ReplyDeleteHere it is still wet, cold, damp, and raining and cold and so on all over again. It can be very depressing after a (long) while. It's been like this since Christmas.
Wishing you and your family well always. God bless, Mevely.
Thank you so much!
DeletePlaydough... yes to the smells!! I remember my mom grinding coffee at the grocery store too! Hadn't thought of that for years. Chlorine smells take me back to nine-years-old at the public pool. Yes. So glad your hubby is doing so well after the surgery! Praise God. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, Myra! Love ya!
ReplyDelete💛
DeleteSo glad the OLD man is doing great. Yes that is amazing the size of incisions to do such a BIG job. Oh yes Love the graphics, especially the one with the Master there at the time.
ReplyDeleteLove ya! Hug the old man for us!
Hugs back to you ... both!
DeleteI'm so happy about the good news about Tom. Hurray for that! ❤️
ReplyDeleteHIP-hip hurray, indeed!
DeleteIf I could find a "Like" button for this post, I would click on it. I especially (most especially) like the picture of Jesus standing beside the surgeon in the operating room. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the blogging world.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you for saying that!
DeleteI love the smell of new play dough!! I am so glad that Tom is on the mend!! I think there are way too many exclamation points in my comment, but I feel like adding more hahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing!!!!!
DeleteGlad Tom's doing well. Yay! Our snow is melting quickly and blessedly I had no appointments scheduled until tomorrow. It's been great to be able to get things done and not feel pressured. I love to be busy and have things to do, but it's great to have time to catch up. Take care. You've got a new book on the way.
ReplyDeleteThe book arrived yesterday ... thank you again!
