There was, however, the time a group of us crashed a radio broadcast booth at 2AM. (Yes, I think alcohol was involved.) Our friend, an all-night DJ, was flattered -- but a bit concerned that someone might giggle or speak out of turn while he was 'live.'

I could have answered one quickly, I would have said I would love to be in Andy's Mayberry, but that would have been wrong, I really would have loved to live with Huck Finn! ReplyDeleteLunch with Tom Hanks would be fun. I kinda sorta had lunch with Alan Alda once...we were both in the same restaurant, anyway. The wait staff were very considerate of him and sat him far away from everyone, and he sat with his back to the people, so they didn't notice him. Made me realize how frustrating it must be to be a recognizable celebrity.
Exciting stuff! You're right, of course, about having to guard one's privacy. Remember poor Diana.

Except for the bottom fitted sheet, yes, I do! And practically without exception, every time I make the bed I remember we Scouts crowded around the bed that day.
DeleteI remember years ago designing and running listening classes. Yes ... listening classes. Listening is very difficult because one has to hear, understand, analyse, remember and think a response all at the same time.

And I always proofread AFTER I hit "send". The mistakes that I make on blog comments are monumental. Strangely enough, I never notice them while I'm writing.
