Not so long ago, we I tore the house apart looking for our dogs' portable water bowl. Each of us convinced the other had a) put it in their vehicle or b) thrown it away.
Months later when I went to retrieve my 'dress' handbag -- the one with all the pockets -- I spied it nestled inside. (Why, I've no idea.)
That's okay, last month I'd already given up finding our meat thermometer and had put another in my Amazon cart when ...
Hiding in plain sight.
Unfortunately -- like the brand new roll of weed-whacker string that disappeared last Spring -- my favorite visor has become a statistic.
Do you know how hard it is to find one of those with a high crown? (Only those with a big nose and rogue hair would understand.)
I stand in the middle of the bedroom, trying to conjure my mother's voice. The game she used to play on long road trips: "You're getting warmer/colder ... Oh now, you're hot. Hot!".
(Does anyone else remember that seek-and-find game?)

At least I'm comforted that car manufacturers "get" us!
Thought for the day.
Like my friend Shannon says, my brain's not always my friend.
That's okay, I'm glad you are!
Hugs, Myra
