Thankful Thursday meets Friday Fotos

Wow.  Our meteorologist just said we've had almost 20" of rain since New Years  Day.

But! I'm so thankful it was just rain and nothing more severe.  Perspective.

💚

After 2 years, we're getting new neighbors!

Delicious irony:
Back in 1830 a fellow named Joel Zeigler built his home on this (now-abandoned) lot ...
..... and shortly after, founded Robinson Springs Methodist Church where we attend.

The new owners?

None other than Pastor Janet and her hubby!
She called me yesterday to ask, "I hope you don't mind?"  (Aside:  It will make skipping services a little awkward. Jus' saying....)

💚

So fortunate to have stumbled on an ordinary, down-home smokehouse ...
That serves up the best ribs we've ever had.  Ya, good food plays a big role in our lives.  Just keeping it real. (*smile*)

💚

The near-miraculous (near) recovery of the Hartocks' new baby.  I never heard of something called RSV, but following their story sure underscores the fragility of life.
For days and days, 'Rory' has been in ICU in a paralytic coma -- dependent on a breathing machine, chest-tube, feeding tube and gosh, I can't recall what all.

No, I've never met these folks. But like their nearly 35,000 followers, I've been on pins and needles ... shedding tears and lifting prayers.

Yesterday was the first in 11 days her parents were allowed to hold her.  God is so good!

💚

I'm grateful to finally be accustomed to my new eyeglasses.
Gotta admit.  Not having to mess with my contacts twice a day feels so free-ing!

💚

As always, I'm seriously grateful for you!

Don't go throwing rotten tomatoes, OK?  I'm one of the few souls who actually loved this song.

Have a fabulous Friday  ... and please, stay safe!

Hugs, Myra
