Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, y'all!

'Thought I'd pop in to say 'hey' and share a few of my favorite things.

Some of y'all may know LuLu James at the Final Chapters?

More than 2 years ago she posted about this, giving it 2 thumbs up.  I commented ... made a note to put on my to-do list ... then did nothing.

I'm not particularly vain, but the state of my hands has become criminal.  My nails are so thin, they break while doing dishes.  Changing the bottom sheet.

Gotta admit, Lulu's right.
I've been using this stuff every morning and it's made a huge difference -- even on my ragged cuticles.

❤️

Oh, the weather outside is frightful ...
but that doesn't mean I can't surround myself with simple pleasures.

Our (faux) fireplace is on the injured reserve, but I'm loving the aroma of Mrs. Meyer's 'wintery' hand soaps -- Peppermint and Snow Drop.

(The lead glass tree came from a sweet little shop in Sarasota many years ago.  It stays on my dresser year-round.)

Not unlike those who covet Spring blooms in the midst of January?
Just do it!

❤️

Do you love making chicken salad, but hate the mess?

I laughed out loud at the girl in this video, because I'm the same way about touching meat.  ICK!

Some of y'all may already be aware of her 'hack' -- but new to me, I couldn't wait to try it.

As a rule, I'm generally skeptical, but this was crazy easy.  I only needed to divide and freeze half.

Do you enjoy chicken salad?

I'm an 'improv' sort, but this morning's batch included
hard-boiled eggs; copious amounts of Duke's mayonnaise, Marie's bleu cheese dressing and purple onion.  (OK, I know they're technically called red but come on.  Seriously, don't they look purple to you?)

Next time I'm going to use Boursin garlic and herb cheese; perhaps a cup of chopped walnuts.

How do you like yours?

I hope y'all enjoy a super Friday.
Stay safe!
Hugs, Myra
