G'evening,
I've attached links to titles in case you're curious about one (or some). I hope you'll let me know if anything sounds like something you'd enjoy, too!
* * *
Author you've read the most books from
J. A. Jance
Not only are her mysteries entertaining, but so is she. I've been to hear her speak on a couple occasions and appreciate that she's funny and unassuming ... the Real Deal.
PS - She also writes a nifty blog!
Best sequel
I'm not a fan of sequels, but felt led to write the author to say, "I believe this book had to have been written."
Currently reading
Drink choice while reading
Black coffee or lemon water
E-reader or physical book
Don't make me choose!
There's nothing like the feel, the aroma of a real book ..... but my olden eyes appreciate being able to enlarge the font on my reader.
Fictional character you probably would have dated in high school
I haven't a clue!
Glad you gave this book a chance
Grateful to realize this isn't so much about automobile racing as it is a metaphor for life.
Hidden gem
Important moment in your reading life
I don't know of any one moment -- but my early years spent at the public library are treasured times. (Thank you, momma.)
Just finished
Kind of books I won't read
Sci-Fi
Longest book you've read
Probably some (high brow) required reading in school seemed like the longest. (lol)
Major hangover because of (what book has stayed with me the longest)
Number of cases you own
One
One book you've read multiple times
My old, dog-eared Daily Devotional.
Interesting (for instance) how something might not have meant much 20 years ago, but today it resonates. Seasons.
Preferred place to read
Recliner
Quote that inspires you, or gives you all the feels from a book you've read
"Some might dispute the facts, but memories aren't always about facts."
- from Nicolas Sparks' Every Breath
Reading regret
Forcing myself to finish something that never captured my imagination in the first place.
Series you started and need to finish
A series? Do Janet Evanovich's books count?
Three of your all-time favorite books
Unapologetic fan of
The Lennon sisters' biography, Same Song Separate Voices.
(I was one of those weird kids who actually enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk show with my parents.)
Very excited for this release
David Baldacci's Long Shadows
Worst bookish habit
Discovering obvious mistakes or misspellings in a book, then getting bent out of shape. (I can't help it!)
I know it's not the author's fault, but it makes me wonder if the copy editor's first language isn't English.
X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book library and see what's there
Your latest book purchase
My blog friend Victor's,
Zzz snatcher book (the last book that kept you up late)
I'm coming up empty. Little interferes with my falling sleep!
Thank you for making time to visit. You're appreciated!
Hugs, Myra
