Sunday

Happy November, y'all.  My favorite month!

A little after 8, I sat out back, keeping a careful eye on Curious Grace ... when all of a sudden this sense of Peace came over me.  Not even a little Subtle. It demanded I pay attention.

There's nothing really Right (or Wrong).  Still, a smile germinated from within.   Thank you, God ... for the 60-degree soft breeze that beckons the leaves.  Even Grace stood still, gazing as they pirouetted and twirled on their way to earth.  Not unlike toddlers who'd been fed so much sugar, lol.

Speaking of which!  We're 0-for-8 on Halloween door knockers.  Given the footprint of our home -- dense foliage across the street, a vacant 5-acre lot to the side and an iffy street light at the corner -- I don't blame the locals for going to sanctioned trunk-or-treats.  Even our little church's Halloween festival down the road.

Same bowl ... slightly older consumer!

I know social media's not everyone's cup of tea ... but I love to find and collect memes on Facebook.  Spiritual ... Comedic ... especially those that resonate.

Like this.

My olden wooden bowl is right up there!

What else?

I'm praising God for my son's successful surgery in Birmingham. DIL texted, 'Doc says it was an extremely large hernia with severe scarring, and she doesn't know how he managed for so long."

We texted briefly yesterday.  He's "grateful for the meds" -- which came as a surprise because Troy doesn't like taking anything stronger than Tylenol.
Then, "I'm trying to be a good patient for Lois."
(I nearly spit out my coffee at that one!)

There's little on our agenda in the coming days.
I've Study tomorrow morning, a haircut -- and of course we'll be voting Tuesday after my dentist appointment.

This made me giggle!

Blessings!
Myra

  1. I had a hernia repaired, and for the first few days the meds ARE necessary!

  2. I really like how the Fresh Breath of the Spirit gave you renewed peace. We all need that infusion to keep going.
We had 35 kids last night. More than we have had the last few years. The little guys were so cute and not sure of what was going on. Many parents dressing up to walk with the kiddos. I really loved that. Yesterday was overcast and chilly all day .. Today its a crystal clear sky and really feels like fall.
