... and then it was May! Once upon a time, it was my favorite month; I'm anxious to see what blessings await these next 31 days.
I want to thank everyone for your HEART-felt words and wishes ..... to Sandra (Mad Snapper) for her beautiful rendering of Macie Ann's arrival in Paradise (see side bar).
The silence is loud.
But we keep putting one foot in front of the other ... and showering little Grace with extra love. I've been changing and rearranging those places where my eyes land. Like my friend Sherree says, "You've got to break that bridge."
There's little in the way of new news.

| That's my parent's wedding china I like to put out each May. Too "scotch" to pay for a custom case ... I lifted this image from the internet and changed my phone's wallpaper. "He left the 99" ... oh, how this resonates! Reading ... I've only begun Beach Read, but welcomed this laugh-out loud moment on Page 10: "Shadi was a terrible driver. She screamed whenever she turned left." |
Smiling ...

| Thank you, Charley Marie! (Yes, I was afraid to ask what it stands for. lol!) I hope each of you enjoy a blessed new day! Hugs, Myra |

Still standing, still shining--your resilience is inspiring, Myra.
ReplyDeleteHere’s to May unfolding with grace and laughter. 🌸
Thanks!
DeletePlease do not leave the Bible study group. You have too much to offer. We are all a gift to each other in life. By withdrawing from the group you are denying them being with you. You never know how much you are influencing and encouraging others by just being there.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
No, I'm not going to quit going. I never know when someone will share exactly what I'm needing to hear.
DeleteYou are hurting right now - I feel it in your blog.
ReplyDeleteGive yourself some time.
I agree with Victor - stay in your bible study girl - that is such a wonderful support group - they need you and you need them.
Hugs.
Really? I thought I was doing lots better; I'll try and include more smiles next time.
DeleteI’m still laughing at the driving line. I’m a terrible driver, but I never scream. 👍😊❤️
ReplyDeleteFor years, I used to make 3 rights to avoid making a left turn in downtown traffic.
DeleteSending you much love, Myra. smiles

DeleteMyra I totally understand. It's been 37 days since Laydee has passed. I know that silence and the lack of pressence. I'm to the point where I can't watch videos of her or look at all her photos without crying so I keep busy. We're happily doting on our cat, Susie who went through her grief. She's been eating a lot more than she used to. We all handle our grief in different ways.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you shared because I thought of you yesterday when I had a moment of missing my girl terribly. Sometimes it just hits hard and then it passes.
Hang in there and know that others have walked this path. I choose to believe I'll see her again and right now they're both playing with Jesus...they're in His care now!
Yes, I believe. Thank you for painting this word picture!
DeleteWhen we had to say good-bye to our precious Maggie, I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't handle it. Danny took her to the vet for me. I was sitting on our deck about 20 minutes after Danny left, and the wind chime rang although no wind was present. God let me know the moment that my precious companion passed. I will never forget that moment as long as I live. Love and blessings!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your heart, dear lady.
DeleteWhat a beautiful and thoughtful bouquet of flowers. My daughter’s little chihuahua Rylie turned 17 in July 2025 and was starting to go downhill. She put her to sleep on September 8, 2025 and after checking her records it was exactly 17 years from the day she got her. She was loved and spoiled all those 17 years. Much love, Sheila.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing life of love! I love her name!
DeleteI would be thrilled beyond measure to get a little hand written note from a random little person.
ReplyDeleteUsing your parents china is a lovely way to celebrate them.
I know healing is hard, but just keep going and loving on Grace.
I will!
DeleteAwww, Myra, I've been thinking about you and thinking it was to hear from you...I can imagine it's been a rough time, and that is certainly to be expected. (((HUGS))) I love the flowers and your parents' wedding china! I know they would be so honored to know you still cherish it. Was May their wedding month? My parents were married on May 16th, 1942. My mother died on May 7th, 2006, so they almost had 64 years together. Strangely, they didn't have any wedding china, now that I think about it, and the good china she had came many years later as a gift from her sister, I think, but I don't know what happened to it. I don't think either my sister or I really wanted it because we already had too much of our own china. But I do have some pieces of china that my mother loved, and so therefore I love it too. Oh, I love that you received that sweet little note from that little girl. That is priceless! And yes, please stay in your Bible study group! I sometimes go through the same feelings, but then I realize that it's not just about me...but that actually my presence there is a blessing to others just as their presence is a blessing to me. We need each other...that's what being a part of the Body of Christ is all about.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Jesus and the lamb. Yes, He did leave the 99 to seek and rescue the one lost sheep...and we were each that one lost sheep at one time or another. So thankful He never gave up on us!! Sending you an extra (((HUG))). You are loved.
64 years ... how wonderful! No, my parent's anniversary is(was) in July; I do this for Mother's Day.
DeleteI NEVER make left turns in traffic unless their is a left turn traffic signal. I go blocks out of my way to avoid that, on 4 lane busy traffic, I drive past the doctor office 3 blocks to turn around acome back using a light. it makes Bob crazy. I think you sound better. Really do
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I'm not the only one!
DeleteOh my, you had me smiling today. That picture of Macie Ann on the side bar is amazing. Thankfully most of the left turns I have had to make had a traffic light with an arrow pointed left. No screaming necessary! I miss my Bible study group, I'm glad you have one to attend! May is a month of opportunity! Enjoy! Love, ma
ReplyDeleteOpportunity ... I like that! Happy May!
DeleteSweet Myra...I know that losing Macie Ann has been very difficult.. She was a companion, a routine and a piece of your hearts. It's good that you are moving things around in order to help bring you a gentle comfort. This kind of love doesn't just go away, but in time you will be able to focus on the memories and you will find joy in these remembrances. The flowers are so pretty and I do hope they have lifted your spirits. Thinking of you and praying that your heart mends peacefully. hugs.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your words, your empathy!
DeleteI'm trying to catch up with my dear friends here!! I'm still so very sad that your sweet Macie Ann had to cross the rainbow bridge. It is so very hard. Hoping your May is full of blessings. Sending love and a hug!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs, dear friend!
Deletethecontemplativecat here My husband drives us everywhere since I had to stop driving. that doesn't stop me from driving verbally from the passenger side.
ReplyDeleteGood one! 😆
DeleteI hope the 31 days of May bring wonderful blessings for you and your sweet hubby!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteThe "silence is loud" is such a poignant way to describe life after a loss, but your focus on "breaking the bridge" and rearranging your space shows such a beautiful, resilient spirit. I’m so glad you have a friend like Cindy who knows exactly when to offer both a firm warning and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you.

ReplyDeleteMaybe you will want to join the Bible study again. If not that's okay too. Of course I've been thinking about you and your loss. ((HUGS)) The flowers are beautiful and how sweet of that little girl to do those drawings for you.
