When I grow up ...

.
... speaking of graduations, have you ever attended a pre-school or kindergarten ceremony?

My gal-pal shared a favorite moment when her little granddaughter's name was called and asked in turn, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Most likely, I'm a bit envious of their assurance, their unwavering vision of what the future holds.   You know, before Real Life comes knocking.

Once upon a time, I had my heart set on becoming a cowgirl ...  living next door to Spin and Marty  ... riding the range all the live-long day.
A year later, I thought it more sensible to follow in daddy's footsteps (lol).

I don't recall ever dreaming of becoming an pseudo air-traffic controller / court jester in a busy office.   In fact, I don't suppose there are a lot of folks fortunate enough to be living their dream.

So we do what's necessary ... hopefully, with a smile.

All the same, I'm curious.
What did the little child you once were want to be when she grew up?
